Next Xenoverse Blog Delayed - Explanation Below · 9:48pm Jan 10th, 2018
OK so, I last updated the Xenoverse blog on what, Saturday?
Sunday, I was checking out new anime on Crunchyroll, using my PS4 instead of my PS3 as I usually do, because I needed the one with the wired connection when the WiFi kinda went floof.
Right in the middle of watching Sanrio Boys (which I don't think I'm going to finish watching), my PS4 crashed. Which it does from time to time...
I rebuilt the database, as you do whenever a PS4 crashes, and left it alone.
Monday, I got caught up in doing other things, mainly writing. Tuesday, I got caught up in playing Disgaea 2 all day.
Today, I decided to get back to Xenoverse, and actually got through one fight and recorded the clip for it. Then I hit a rather hard battle that's basically an escort mission with a REALLY high fail rate, and replayed it like...seven times, I think? In the middle of my seventh or so crack at it, my PS4 crashed again.
I rebuilt the database again but I won't be touching it again today. It doesn't seem to be an overheating thing, and it has a history of doing this. It'll do it like, twice in a week or something like that, and then it won't do it again for several months. I'm not really sure what the problem is, but I do know three things:
1. I'd rather let it sit for a while before playing it again.
2. That battle was kind of pissing me off anyway and I need a break from it.
3. I've had a rough day in general and my eyesight isn't very good right now due to sinus and stress, so it's probably better to wait to play Xenoverse until I can see everything on the screen clearly.
So...yeah. May be tomorrow or Friday before I get back to that and get the next episode up.
Yikes. Here's hoping everything clears up soon, both with the console and with you.
Do you remember the name of the mission? Because I get the distinct feeling that I know which one it is. Oh. Oh no. Is, it the one where you have to keep Gohan and Krillin from dying while fending off Frieza soldiers?

Yep, that's EXACTLY the one it is. It all goes to shit after Guldo shows up.

Oh god I hate that mission SO much. It is a case of That One Level. Don't even get a freaking ULT in that mission, not even the Full Power Energy Blast or whatever. And the Supers you get aren't real good either. I, I WANT to give you advice for that mission, I REALLY REALLY do, but I think it comes down to luck, being overlevelled to have some extra hitting power to kill Frieza's minions faster and thus save Gohan and Krillin. So, sadly the only real advice I can give is level grind. And it angers me that that's about all I can think of.

Yeah, I know a luck based mission when I see one. It reminds me of a similarly frustrating escort mission in Final Fantasy Tactics.
Oh hey, while on the subject of anime, have you checked out that new Cardcaptor Sakura anime yet? I remember watching the original series way back in the day, and I'm really in the mood of picking this one up.
