Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Whatever you Celebrate, but not Leaf Ericsson Day, we're not there yet.
For the record my birthday was in the last week XP
And as a present for my birthday and all above mentioned holiday's. We, that is ShimmeringStallion and myself as I have not been able to contact Shokinaw unfortunately, are working hard to finish both writing and editing a very large chapter.
How large you ask... like twenty thousand words... at least Fun fact: This chapter in length alone would justify it as a novella, that is the size under a novel but above a short story or novelette. So in short: It's long. After a year plus it damn well should be! I might split it into separate chapters cause maybe it should be or a part 1 part 2 for reader convince if I decide against splitting. However, regardless of that decisions, you will be getting the whole thing (If I do chapters there may be a few days between. If I do parts all at once.)
As for the chapter... Well the most I'm willing to say is that I really love writing Rainbow Dash. She's like all of my cockiness and asshole tenancies wrapped in an awesome bad ass package. There's something to be said about unquestionable confidence and how it affects those around you.

I can't wonder but thinking if this could be a point where Spike not only gets RD, but can get a taste of Gilda as well. It definitely would be a prime opportunity to have Gilda and Dash have a bit of fun together, especially with Gilda being a new roommate to Spike and Twilight...
