Though to answer your question, kid, chryssy and her race are not even close to being the bad guys in this story.
Yeah, she may have done some terrible things to Handy, BUT, you have to remember, Handy is a jerk on the best of times (not really an excuse but meh), and she did have some good motives to do what she did, ( if you dont know what, i aint going to explain them to you , kid ) at least in her mind.
In my opinion, cryssy isn't a bad guy ( Mare, Bug, thing), just a really cranky old lady with many regrets, and hopes...
Now thorax, meh, i was of the opinion she could go and sit on a pike, but over the course of my re-readings of the story, i found a certain charm in her( oh she still is a massive bitch, but meh, no need to use the word hate).
As for your "let's kill all changelings" , you made a fantastic interpretation of Hitler there, buddy.
No need to judge an entire race over the actions of a bunch of individulas.
So yeah, changelings are ok in my book, kinda mean, but meh, seen worse.

Now when you put it like that, I can only say that I still disagree, and I'd still have their entire race drink battery acid. They're a manipulative, backstabbing, sociopathic race that rely on stealing people's lives, have no qualms with erasing other's memories, using willful ignorance and eager herd mentality as excuses to deny another's sentience, kind of like your precious Hitler there, buddy. And I don't know about you, but if I found out I accidentally tortured someone for a week, I'd at least say sorry, rather than kidnap the people close to him and then try using fey magic to turn him into a permanent slave through use of technicalities. Yeah, I admit that talking about killing is generally unseemly, but if you'd care to check, I was actually the one being talked down on and then subsequently dismissed. Yeah I was being talked down on for an offensive comment, but that offensive comment was still objectively sound.

What one thinks of, whether positively or negatively about the various races and characters as presented in Bad Mondays, is up to their discretion. I have readers and fans who enjoy every moment of comeuppance Handy gets because they feel it is justified, there are others who feel aggrieved as he does about all the bad things that happen to him and hate those who have wronged him. I try not to work to engender love or hate either way which whichever character, as in my eyes, its also important how the characters view eachother as much as how the audience views them. That the character makes sense is also more important. Therefore if Bold Promise feels particularly angry or aggrieved at the changelings as represented in the story, or Dov feels particularly sympathetic to them, they're both right in their own ways, its an opinion based on the characterisation and I normally revel in how differently people interpret the characters and their actions and motivations, so I ordinarily allow arguments and discussions about them carry on in the comments unimpeded.

However, I will have to say both of you are being unkind to the other. Dov you were a touch dismissive of Bold Promise which further aggrevated the issue and Bold, you were being needlessly aggressive in your responses. Calm down, and when challenged rationally justify your love or hatred of something in the story. Let this be the end of it for now.

To be fair, my main focus was on retaliating against a 'politically-correct' derogatory asshole, the kind that seem to thrive on this site. The kind that seem to believe that it's alright to insult someone, talk backhandedly and talk down on someone as long as you're not outright cursing.
But yes, you're right. I was making a scene in order to call him out on his behavior. That might've been called for, but I was still rude during it. Sorry about that to everyone except dov.
That wasn't me being backhanded, he gave me no reason to apologize to him.
I may have also been personally interested in discussing the moral dilemma in question, but I forgot that I should've expected to be labeled a nazi by one of the predominating keyboard warriors looking for a quick ego boost, before getting a straight and constructive counter-argument.
