I Came Back from the Dead to Say— · 3:51am Jul 28th, 2017

Less relevant nostalgia aside, I have some good news for everyone:

Desert Spice will update in the next few days.

More ramblings below the break.

Hopefully, assuming[1] I can get some more eyes to pass over it by then, the new chapter of about 5k words will be posted Saturday Morning-ish, PDT.

[1]: A dangerous habit, I know.

Work continues to go fairly well. In exchange for doing whatever odd office jobs my boss's whims decide, I now have more money to my name than I've had in my life[2]. I've shopped for tandem bikes, motorcycle bluetooth intercoms, and coyote urine. I've also solved the office's printer problems and gotten Steingreber to cough up the missing screws to my boss's grand piano. I say this often, but let it never be said that my life is boring.

[2]: Not a high bar, as I currently have a bit over $1k.

But yeah, life continues to be fairly good. I don't feel like I'm actively dying, and I've got cool friends to hang out with. Also, I might have a thing for this whole GMing thing, at least when it comes to Planet Mercenary[3] games. I've been writing my own one-shots for it, and the players have been having a ball with it. Pointing a ball of comedically sociopathic space mercs at things is hilarious fun for me, too.

[3]: AKA my latest excuse for not writing horse words more.

Well, that's enough rambling for me for now. Now I'm off to try to track down my little brother's finances. :ajbemused:

Sweet! Looking forward to the new chapter, and I'm glad that life is going well, to boot.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear that things in your... eventful life are going well. :)

Thanks!

Not sure if sarcasm, or just really cleverly hidden pun. :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:

...Neither? I was remarking on your post containing such diverse activities as directing balls of fictional space mercenaries, repairing grand pianos, and buying coyote urine. My apologies if my comment caused any offense; I assure you that none was meant.
(Though I am curious what pun you thought you saw hidden.)

Having deer problems, I take it? I can't think of many other reasons to buy coyote urine.

In any case, very happy to hear there's more Amber Spic on the horizon.

4615652 No offense taken. I may have been tired and confused. And I thought I might have missed a pun because of an interaction between me and my editor earlier that night.

4615697 I'd thought it was deer problems, too (or as we call them around here, antlered rats), but apparently it's to keep animals from chewing on his car.

Cool, more story is good.

Ah, okay. :)

Bugsdor: Son of MacGyver perhaps?

I can't think of many other reasons to buy coyote urine.

I think he already said; it was for fixing the printer.
:derpytongue2:

(I know that is (probably) not the case, but the juxtaposition made me giggle. Or maybe it is the meds I am on...

4616544 Son of MacGyver? Nah, I just work for him. :derpytongue2:
