Twilight, Good Night is still not dead!
[insert rejoicing here]
Yes, I've finally gathered myself and managed to churn the old wheel to produce a chapter so we can move along and see what's bothering Luna so much. Lot of baggage for her to unpack, not to mention all that family drama that's sorta been poking its head up here and there throughout the story. All of it's coming to a head, baby.
As for other writing, well, let us run down the list.
TVCR is done as far as writing goes, just getting time for prereading to be done. So, we should be finishing up the first book of our favorite Doodle and her merry band of changeling companions.
There are a couple side fics in the works for the Respite series, also. I don't want to call it a verse, persay, but I suppose it technically is one. I just don't have a good name for it. In any case, one of the fics will be centered around a holiday they celebrate, the other around a pair of side characters I quite like. There may be a few more of these in the works down the line, but we'll stick with these two for now. Naturally, there is book two of the series, but I'm taking a bit of a break before I jump back into that. As of right now, the working title for the new one will is looking to be Out of Love. Subject to change, of course.
TGN is coming down to the wire, as stated before. I believe after this latest chapter is edited and published, we'll be six away from being done. Yay for that!
I did reference a rather small ship a while back that I was writing for. So, to clarify, I was working on an AppleShy oneshot just to see about playing with new characters, since I'd never really featured either of them prominently. The story was nice and fluffy, but when I passed it around to my friends, they were unanimous in saying that they felt it would work better as a chaptered fic, something less than ten chapters but long enough to explore things. So, once I get to it, I figure on about 5-7 chapters for that. We'll see how it goes~
There's also another long fic in the making, because I'm a glutton for punishment. Timaeus and Monochromatic have been quite helpful with this one. Keeping it quiet for now because I want to get a little more work done, but I think you guys will enjoy it quite a bit.
I do want to work on some more Spitfire stuff, both shipping and non-shipping. Maybe another SpitDash fic (not comedic, but serious) with some Wonderbolt shenanigans. Because these cloud-snorting featherheads drive Captain Serious to drink. And also to make her Rainbow girlfriend squeal and squirm. There is a part of me that wants more TwiFire, but ehhhhh. Not sure there.
I know if I don't mention this one, Tchernobog will likely gore me, so there's an AppleDash contest. I might have something for that, again it will depend on whether or not I can motivate myself. Deadline as of now is September 1st, so it's not like I don't have oodles of time.
As mentioned before, I'm back in school. I also have a new job! No more working in a restaurant for me! Hooraaaaaaay! Granted, I'm working in IT at my University, but it's at least in the industry I want to go in. Gotta get a foot in the door somehow, amirite?
Speaking of uni, people are trying to coax me back into college hockey, since I have a year of eligibility left. One of these people is the starting goalie on the University team, which doesn't actually have a true backup. He's going as far as to tell me that the previous backup (before this not-quite-a-backup) would drink beer on the bench and tried to use that to entice me to agree. I said I better not have to pay for the beer, and that I'd better be able to hold my hand out Stone Cold Steve Austin style and have someone throw a beer to me for that to work.
But seriously, I'm trying not to go back. I can be strong. I'm not a total whore for hockey, right?

Let's see, what else? I'm a bit behind on the show, so I'll have to catch up on that soon. Physics kinda fucked me over for a couple weeks, so pleasure viewing/reading was nil. I'll get on that soonish.
