S7E13: "The Perfect Pear" · 4:19pm Jun 23rd, 2017
I've still only been able to watch this once, so consider this a provisional rating. It was touching and sweet and interesting and all that, though I don't go along with the "Best Episode Ever!" crowd; "A Royal Problem" remains S7's best ep. This episode has a few plotholes that may or may not affect its long-term reputation, but it does a decent job. Not a bad song, although again not an all-time classic. Because of what it is and what it does, and because a wildly-hyped episode didn't fall flat on its face, right now I'm going to rate it ★★★★.
The way I put it, this episode gave me what I wanted, but A Royal Problem gave me what I didn't know I needed.
The thing that I appreciated was that the episode put Applejack's parents in a very different place from all the other Mane 6's parents. They weren't just relegated to the standard "semi-clueless 'rents" trope, and that made me very happy!

Speaking of what I didn't know I needed, Buttercup's After Vigorous Outdoor Sex Face is one of those things. Yes, I know they set it up so that it wasn't, but c'mon! Just look at that!:dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15337940/TAVOSF.jpg
