Taking the Sun - New Chapter Released (and Other Updates) · 7:11pm Jun 10th, 2017
Hello Everypony,
For those of you who are following it, thank DbzOrDie for commissioning a third chapter of Taking the Sun. Seems Luna is due for a bit of payback this time - but is Twilight Sparkle truly up to the task? Check it out and see!
The commission wagon in anticipation of Bronycon rolls on! I've got a few more to bust out, but after that I hope to get back to some of the sequels and new ideas that some of you have been waiting to read. The momentum ball isn't always easy to keep rolling, so I appreciate any and all words of support and/or encouragement. As always, thank you for taking the time to experience anything I've put out there, and I hope you enjoy whatever it is
PS - For some reason, this new chapter will not display with indented paragraphs, despite setting it that way in the editor. I went back and noticed that none of the chapters are displaying their intents, either. My apologies for the clutter that causes, but I don't appear to have any control over it. I'm guessing it's a glitch that hasn't been worked out yet, as part of the recent updates to Fimfiction. If anybody has any information about this, please share!
It's one of this week's Fimfic updates -- all chapters of all stories are now displayed according to reader preferences that default to spaced rather than indented paragraphs.
You can change your own preference from the "Formatting" button at the top of a chapter, and then the second drop-down menu from the bottom of the floatybox. This will be sticky for you until you log out -- but each reader has to do that themself.
(If you have "minor scene breaks" where you used to put just a blank line between otherwise indented paragraphs, you now need to mark that up with two blank lines. That will render as a single blank line for readers with "indented" preference, and as two blank likes for readers with "doublespaced" preference).

...huh. Well that's...curiously confusing that they would do that, but thanks for the head's up. I checked it out - apparently it doesn't indent the first paragraph of a new scene no matter which option you choose, and there's no 6-point lead to denote a new paragraph when you choose intent without spacing, so the whole thing ends up looking like word-soup. "Double-spaced" appears to be the only completely clean way to view it now, at least to me. I use standard marking for scene breaks (asterisks), and it does seem those are still displaying correctly. I hope it's a work in progress, as it seems it still needs a bit of tweaking
I do like the addition of background color preferences though. Too much white is hard on the eyes.
