Conundrum, Part II: The Final Decision · 2:06pm May 6th, 2017

I've listened to all your input, weighed my own thoughts on the matter, and made a decision.

DrakeyC, it turns out, was thinking much along the same lines as I was beginning to think.

This morning, I wrote what would have been the final two Cadance Interludes. I'm about to combine them into a single Interlude and publish it.

Cadance Interlude IV will be the final Cadance Interlude of Cheer Princess. From this point forward, that story will focus entirely on Tia and Sunset.

But the events unfolding in Equestria will continue in a separate sidestory, which I'll set into motion...hmm...probably in June.

Seeing as this is the situation, I've decided to post the Cadance Interlude Finale this morning.

Thank you all for your input. This is ultimately the decision that makes the most sense for the story.

curses, I was late to the discussion. :facehoof:

Ah well, I liked the intensity of the Cadence chapters. You don't know if she will succeed, you don't know if Equestria will still be there, and the two main characters are also of the same panic level. So it helps keep an edge of worry throughout the story. If we saw Cadence succeeding, and the other two are still worried, then it doesn't really effect the reader anymore and is almost skippable content since we already know that arc has ended.

Now, if we see Cadence fail and don't hear back on it for awhile, that helps keep that wiggling bit of doubt in our heads. That's my two cents, albeit late. I was kind of expecting to have more than a few hours to respond though. :twilightsheepish:

Regardless, I look forward to reading the next chapter. My interest right now is more on Fluttershy and Sunset's potential back and forth, unless Sunset drops her as soon as possible.

I missed the discussion as well, but this probably is the right decision.

The main story already has two sides to it, so making the one that won't interact with the other two (at least not anytime soon) into a sidestory makes the most sense.

Oh...I didn't see this and I already commented something similar on the main story. Oh well, sorry about that.

4522282 Yeah I think the direction I went in will keep that level of suspense going for a completely different reason. :trollestia:
