Afternoon folks, meant to get this blog written yesterday but I forgot until like midnight. : \
So, anywho, birthday was yesterday. Thirty three. Woo. Yay. Now on to something better.
To everyone who is waiting for the next MM and Spark chapters, you have my apologies on the delays and an explanation as well. The prescriptions that the doctors have me on helps with my fatigue but has a tendency to make my eyes sensitive to direct light and sound. Unfortunately, my workplace is full of both of those, which has led me to pretty much spending every minute where I'm not on a call in some quiet corner I can monopolize and cover my eyes. As I used to spend my lunches and before work writing, this has naturally slowed down the rate at which I'm writing.
BUT, there may be hope on the horizon for me. My workplace is phasing teams into work from home positions in a month, which would quite neatly solve most of my problems. At home I can control the noise and light levels I'm exposed to, and the additional time I'm saving with the commute means I'll have even more time on my hands to be productive. It is my fervent hope that I get WFH approval and from there I can resume writing without having to fight a blinding headache at the same time.
To those of you who are needing your Mente Materia fix, I do have some news: The Sweetie Chronicles updated with the second of three Mente Materia crossover chapters. While not required reading by any means, it may help hold folks over until I can start up again myself. Plus, Sweetie has some rather interesting conversations that I'm sure everyone would find fascinating...
Also, hoping to get a Brightest Spark chapter done soon. Wish me luck. :S

If sound bothers your eyes I fear for you.
I know your pain though with the light, I've always been light sensitive for migraines. I work nights for a living and have no for almost 11 years. Make sure to push the limit of your tolerance. Pick 1 day a week to have the light and noise level slightly higher than comfortable otherwise you'll run the risk of it hurting a lot more when you do experience it.

If it gets done, it will, if times are rough, then they are. I just hope work hasnt crushed the dream and muse, because even if you cant, i hope the muse still inspires.

As for the light and sound sensitivity, I totally feel you there. This past year I've had to deal with several-month stretches where I had a migraine that refused to go away at all. It's gone now that I'm home again for a bit. Any sort of vaguely intense light, sound, or smell was anathema to me. Not saying it's as bad as what you're going through.

So im 8 years older. And can tell some about that age and fatigue etc. For eyes: avoid Fluorescent lamps and LEDs, tungsten and halogen lamps are far better with their smooth and warm light. I remember like i was at 20's eager and more productive than later. It will be about my traindriver's irregular sleeping and eating times, but i gained significantly weight at this age. Its thing that need to watch and avoid.
