Okay, so many of you many remember a storyline in Twilight's Twinlight that i too down to make into it's own seperate story.
However, something has occurred to me as to what the events of the fires of friendship lead to.
Originally, i was just thinking the friendship heart turns into the tree of harmony... but something else has come to mind. the crystal heart. wouldn't it make more sense that the friendship heart would've turned into the crystal heart, since it was the shape of a heart?
I dunno. it's just a thought that came to mind a while back and i was wondering what you all think about that idea. Let me know in the comments.
PS also have no idea when any of my fics will be updated. haven't found the drive to write the last couple days, so nothing new chapterwise for anything, which kinda sucks because i was hoping to get another chapter of A Love Bug's Life up and then try to get back to It's A Screwed Up Life this weekend. maybe i'll be able to get something out on Anzac Day, but we'll see. don't hold me to that

You can do whatever your -- ahem -- heart desires, honestly. Personally, I was going to write that the crystal heart was inspired by the mysterious friendship-borne heart. For a reason I'd rather not mention outside of the thing I'm writing. XD;;
I always figured that the crystal heart was created by love in some fashion. Since everything about the Crystal Empire is related to love. The love of their subjects empower the crystal heart to do amazing things. Like melt the snow so their kingdom doesn't freeze. Kinda like that metaphor where love can melt a frozen heart. I also figure that the tree of harmony came about around G1 era of mlp. You know when that Rainbow beam of death goes into a dormant state and manifest itself into a tree. Kinda would explain how when Twilight and her friends opens the box, rainbows shoot out of it. That's my bit thrown in. I hope it helps

I believe it has been said that the Tree of Harmony is keeping back some kind of Corruption, and even in the Journal of the two sisters, the tree was said to be far older than even them. So, I would definitely say to go with the Crystal Empire idea if you had to choose. Maybe have "Clover" crystallize the Friendship Fire heart thing because it was like the symbol of their unification or whatever and it later being found to do its nifty things as the Crystal Heart made its original history lost to time?
The fact that the Crystal Heart keeps back the magic blizzard like the Fire of Friendship did for the Windigoos greatly helps that case too.
