This one's especially aimed at Justice, Tired Old Man, and/or DrakeyC. Maybe also Albinocorn, as an in-betweener. Possibly also FoME. If anyone can do something cool with this idea, it's one of you five. 
Of course, anyone else who feels like taking it on is welcome as well.
Ever since she got a look inside Pinkie Pie's mind at Camp Everfree, Sunset Shimmer's been noticing some...unusual things. About herself, about her friends, about the world around her. She hears voices that are out of place. She remembers things happening to her and her friends that never happened. She can see images--some of them very lurid, some of them just plain messed up--of herself and her friends whenever she closes her eyes. And that's not even counting the other, bizarrely Pinkie-like behavior she's caught herself engaged in lately.
Sunset Shimmer has become aware of the fourth wall, and she has no idea how to deal with it.
"Sunset, why are ye munching like a squirrel on a bacon strip you just pulled out of yer hair?"
"Applejack, I have three answers for you. 'I don't know', 'This is crazy convenient', and 'I'm really stressed out today'."
"Uh... so which one do I take?"
"Fourth answer! 'All of the above!'"
Hmm... Intriguing...
I'm not sure if someone has done this but if not it's actually kind of surprising. I can certainly give it a try, even if anyone does their own version of it.
I can see any story just end up being funny. It would cause sunset to have a panic attack because she is just like pony twilight. She learned to deal with pinkie's skill because she has no choice or go insane. But if she somehow gets that skill she would freak out cause human twilight to freak out too. Seeing both of their friends freak out will make the others freak out too. And seeing the heroes of Everfree and Canterlot high on edge would send everyone on edge.
Hmmm. Funny, but that brand of comedy isn't my strong suit.
Sigh, I'd definitely take it if I weren't so busy
