I have three stories neigh-ready for publication, a fourth multi-chapter almost ready to post, and am working slowly but steadily on the next chapter of TSJ.
Then, this happens.
Epiphanies are mysterious, psychologically speaking. But that's a different topic.
In the bathtub (less than five minutes ago) I was struck with an idea for a story that I need to write now. It's something I need to say, and while I doubt it will speak to everypony as it does to me, I think it will be interesting.
It will not feature (it isn't the kind of story that draws clicks), so few ponies will see it... but that doesn't matter. I have to write it. It's too personal and relevant to put anything else on the front burner.
I have no doubt I will have the story completed no later than Tuesday, unless severe depression strikes over the weekend.
You gotta do what you gotta do hun, I'm sure it'll be amazing. Just take all the time you need.
I will see it! And unless I am ordered not to or suffer some kind of debilitating loss of ability which is tautological, I will very probably read it. I hope the severe depression does not strike. Good luck!
If you are this passionate about writing this, I know I will want to read it! Looking forward to seeing it.
The bathtub is actually built from a rare ore that conducts inspiration.
4476613 I believe they named this mysterious ore Eurekaite.

Ah, that was it, it was right on the tip of my tongue.

I suppose seeing two sets of things you normally don't see in the same bathtub poking out of the water might also be a contributing factor.
(No, it's not that kind of story.)

Remember to alloy with Archamedium in the golden ratio for best results.

What are you talking about, I see those together all the time. >.>
gl on the story, even though I'm stuck refreshing TSJ like a Neanderthal crouched on a rock looking east in the pre dawn light in the first snows of September, desperately hoping for *this* dawn to bring spring. If you get stuck or depressed I'm available for cuddles.

I wouldn't know
Personally, I believe very few stories speak to readers in the same way that they speak to their writers. But that's not a bad thing. I've had several responses to my stories that were totally different from what I had in mind, but that were unique and just as impactful as the intended message. In other words, a story can mean more than it's intended to.
