I prefer my poem over the quote, while there may not be honor amongst thieves rats don't eat each other for fun and profit.
The swarm as one, work as a group, and consume. They do exactly what evolution told them to.

Horrific mutilations and spread of disease aside you have to hand it to them. Creatures with brains the side of a pea can toppled the planets apex predator for centuries until we go sanitation down.
