Welcome to my Weekly Gaming Blog!

This week's coverage: Pokemon Shuffle and Pokemon Sun.

This week will be the final regular coverage of Pokemon Sun, as I beat the game Wednesday evening. I need to get back to console gaming soon; also, now that I've beaten Pokemon Sun, I'm probably starting Dragon Quest VII soon. (I'm sure I'll do some of the post-game stuff in PokeSun, but it's not a priority.)

Newly acquired games this week:
None.

Pokemon Sun

Good lord...Vast Poni Canyon is a little TOO vast... @_@;;

Welp...it's done. I've beaten the game. There's a buttload of post-game stuff to do, of course...still a Pokedex to fill and all that jazz, but I'm honestly not going to go all-out or anything with it. Not right now, anyway. Other games await, other things to do...for now, I'm going to simply be content to have beaten the most story-rich Pokemon game ever.

Am I the only one who was surprised at how incredibly Squaresoft the end of the whole Lusamine plot was? I mean, the Ultra Beast transformation, her whole Queen Zeal-esque thing she had going on... Damn.

Unfortunately, I screwed up and accidentally fainted Tapu Koko in the post-E4 battle, but you get additional chances to capture it, so I'm not too worked up about that. It's just irritating that I overestimated my Raichu's ability to faint it in two shots. Derp. Ah well.

SOLGALEO (nickname: Convoy)

Now you need to make a party of Convoy and five Dittos.

"Pokémon, Transform and roll out!"

Yeah, that's one of the coolest moments of the game- when she goes completely off the deep end and OMG WHAT IS THAT?! Too bad you can't actually fight her, but guess attacking a human (even in that state) would be going a bit too far for a mainline Pokemon game. Great boss battle too, with all her Pokemon having boosts and evil expressions.

Not to mention the Pokemon League after that. At last, you're actually the first Champion without a rival beating you to the title by five minutes! Awesome to see Kukui in action too, especially as a reference to the original Professor Oak battle that could have been back in the first games.

4434659 What gets me is how QUICKLY they built that incredibly elaborate Pokemon League. :pinkiecrazy:

"Get in the bag, Convoy!" Just doesn't have the same ring to it.

As a person who loved Chrono Trigger I may have second thoughts on Sun and Moon (assuming the Lusamine plot is in both versions?).

Unfortunately, I sold my 3DS. :facehoof:
