My God, It's Full of Links · 1:35pm Sep 23rd, 2012

In the dark depths of the cobblestone castle, a voice laughs. The Doktor had come far. Oh, yes he had. He'd sacrificed sanity and friends, forsaken society and love. But it was worth it. By God, he didn't regret a single moment. A crackling bolt of electricity jumped from prong to prong, setting the room ablaze with unnatural white light. The machinery blinked darkly, like thousands of eyes watching the Doktor as he finished his work. Time had tested his fingers, and he was an adept of the needle and thread. With a final stitch, and an excited giggle, the Doktor snipped the thread.

Another giggle. Bared teeth. Wide eyes. He threw the switch.

Glowing in the light of the electricity, fluid pumped and nodes flared with power. The thing on the table jerked and throbbed. The Doktor watched in fascination as the sack of meat took form and rose.

With a bellow, Chromosome rose from the table and roared.

The Doktor screamed, "It's aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive!"

That's right folks! I'm back. School has been breaking my balls really badly, and floundering in the rising tide of work and deadlines has been a real hassle. More importantly, it's leaving me with little writing time.

However, I have been putting in some words here and there, thanks to the wonders of the Black Mesa Soundtrack. Seriously, this music is incredible, and just the thing to want to write something epic. From victory, to despair, to determination, this soundtrack fills me with writing juices. You know... juices. For writing. Like antifreeze. Gotta keep that stuff topped up. It's crazy how much music is motivating me to write more Air. What songs fills you with writing juices?

On the topic of Air, I've been doing some thinking, and I've come to a conclusion. Four chapters, while enough to accurately tell the story I wish to tell, doesn't leave me much room to explore some other facets of the backstory. That's why I've settled on there being one, possibly two side stories being posted upon completion of the series. They'll be brief little one-shots that are unrelated to each other but related to the storyline. And as for the storyline, I can't tell you much about this next chapter. All I can say is...

Now before I round out this journal with some adorable Fluttershy, I'd like y'all to help a brotha out. askireet has been working on doing a dramatic reading of Anno Domini, and he's posted a thread in the Cesspool as per my permission asking for people to review his work. And I think he'd super 'preciate the feedback. I mean, it has sound effects. A fic about a giant robot suit has sound effects! That can only mean good things. Do us both a solid, and give it a gander.

A Gander, you say? Sound effects? Robot suits?

Why haven't I heard of this before?

You have my interest...

377253 I want a sequel too, but that might diminish the impact of the original work.

I suggest that you hold another one of your Livestreams to help you ponder the situation. Now.

As for music, the world of Goo soundtrack. Containing songs like this. On repeat. All night long.

Congrats on the Air song, btw. Still got to try reading that.

A gander, huh? Like a gander of geese?
...oh wait... that's a gaggle.

This is a brilliant idea!

Questionable Ethics 1 is the best pony.

I can't say I know of any songs that give me these "writing juices", but I'm sure my readers would like it if I could get my hands on some.

In the mean time, Black Mesa.

I tend to listen to Mozart or Jazz music when I have to do heavy thinking. But whenever I need some energy, I like to listen to Drum and Bass when I need energy.

Of course, I'm hardly a writer.:rainbowwild:

I use Two Steps from Hell. They are a score group with way too many songs to count, and they definitely fill my head with dramatic ideas. They've been fueling my latest project, and helping combat my horrible A.D.D. nicely.

I recommend:
Freefall
Jump
Atlantis
and for the most energy
To Glory

Other than that I like brutal metalcore stuff, but I can't recommend that because most people probably couldn't write to it like I do. Hell, I don't even know how I do it.:applejackunsure:
