So, there it is. A poorly-made website promising you can be the pony you want to be! It has a selection of ponies to choose from at that. Most of them seem to be background ponies. Some of them have little notes beside them like:
Must like muffins
Or
Happily married
Or even
Expect danger and adventure!
The oddest part might be that if it's a hoax, why not dump all the ponies, why only some? Heck, some of these you don't even recognize.
It has to be a scam, somehow... and yet, maybe it's curiosity. Or maybe you're done with Earth. You have your reasons.
So... Do you do it? More importantly, wanna collab on the next case study of Soul Reclamation Society? Come, let's make a story together!
I'm seeking a few happier cases, with people who want to be there, even if things get awkward at times.

I dunno, how comfortable would you be in partially writing a person who is borderline suicidal due to gender dysphoria and would welcome the chance to magically become female?
I will note that a seemingly-innocent way to get a ton of responses would be one of those 'What (insert category of things like Viking/Greek deities) are you most like' quizzes that appear on EVERYONE'S Facebook feed at least once a day.

4336741 Well, if you have a slot open for, say, Cup (Mrs.) Cake I wouldn't say no to assisting with the human. She's not my favorite character or anything, but she is someone that I would feel comfortable replacing.

I'd want to go into the loss of identity and body more.
Would it be an explicit self-insert? I mean... it's a neat twist, to say "write your self insert of you becoming a pony! Twist Ending: it is a horrible loss of identity instead of a great boon." But I also might want to, if you're looking for personality matches, not use myself as I don't resemble that many showponies.
That begs the question: if you were a background pony, who would you be? We don't have an answer for that... But I'd be interested if anyone asked. Just be careful, Pandora's box may have had bad things, but mine could potentially destroy worlds...
4336780 It should be 'you', though no name need be used. So far it seems to be a running thing to never say the human's name, which is, if you think about it, a chilling and creepy thing.

4337081 Nothing specifically about baking that I can't get from a book of recipes, but I've always been a very instinctual chef to the point where the only time I ever made something inedible was when I was twelve, and sick, and wanted hard-boiled eggs...then fell asleep while they were boiling and woke up two hours later.
I also have changed diapers before, successfully, and only gagged once.
I honestly think the main stumbling point will be a severe lack of muscle memory for fine coordination.
