Exactly what it says on the tin! If anyone else is going (and if there's any kind of Fimfiction discord meetup group on it~), please let me know. With travel and etc. I likely won't be going to many of these, so I'd love to RL meet as many Fimfic peeps as I can.
There are few feelings for an author quite as wonderful as receiving fan art, all the more because I found it by sheer chance. While the artist MrRicharZ has taken it down from Derpibooru he was kind enough to let me use his work as cover art for the story.
I like that story enough (and have grown fond enough of listening to dramatic reads) that I have commissioned one from our own Skijarama!
(There is also commissioned cover art on the way, too.~)
So I worked a bunch of overtime last week, am feeling less skin-flinty than usual, and thus ask: anyone know of a decent EQG artist who could use some work? Happy as I am with the photo-edit picture for Principal Celestia Hunts the Undead, I'm feeling like a little self-interested patronizing of the arts.

I know those feels. I had cover art commissioned for two of my stories because I craved unique pictures that accurately reflected my story's content. But as far as artists go... that's a tricky one. I'm assuming that price is an issue? I could link you the artist I used for my Zecora story if you like.
Whatever you think best for your story, but personally I really like the current cover art, that's a big part of why I thought it'd be fun to read in the first place. Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!

Oh, uh, it's been a while since I've actually posted anything online. I'll see if I can get a draft cover up that I'll make myself, and that'll be my example, or I can scrounge up some stuff and finally post it. If these other guys are offering to do it for free, as I am, they're probably going to be a better option. Still, I'll make a cover anyways because I like this story a lot.

Thank you, but I am not asking for a free product. I feel that's disrespectful to an artist's time, and while I love getting fanart, I would never solicit it from another without offering something in return.
Thus said, if you choose to send me something anyway, I will hype it to the 9's on my blog, link it in the story, and offer my squealing, fangasming thanks.
