I have. So many emotions about this finale. It was so good. I loved every moment of it. I cannot wait to see what's in store for next season and I cannot WAIT to see more growth from Starlight. While I was on the fence about her reformation and some of the episodes featuring her (*coughs* Every Little Thing She Does *cough*), this episode did so well with her character and I can't wait to see more of her or the rest of the cast next season. Also, it was nice to have a different set of heroes or, as Discord would put, "a great cast of secondary characters". 
I will admit, when I read the synopsis and they brought up "an old enemy", I was kinda hoping it would be King Sombra (lol big surprise from me). But, I was so blown away by this finale and I absolutely loved seeing Chrysalis in it. She was such a good villain and I am so happy to see her back in the game. This isn't the last we've seen of her, that's for sure!
This is without a doubt the second best episode of the entire series... which, given that first place is Crusaders of the Lost Mark, is pretty impressive.
Great finale, and oh heck yes they have to do that with Sombra's ghost. Maybe even have him give Chrysalis the power to bust Tirek out of Tartarus because we NEED a villain team up and now Chrysalis and Tirek have something in common, they were betrayed by those they thought they could trust (you could add Sombra to that category as well, depending on whether or not you accept his backstory in the comics).
There was genuine fear (not piss) that I had spilled from that scene where Chrysalis does that crawling head-spin thing.
It was awesome.
Don't like the designs for the Changelings now, though. Like how they had some kind of negative reaction to Chrysalis' actions before this moment, though.
I heard that a lot of people found the new changeling design to be somewhat eye-searing, but I like them. The look very unique, like sparkly moth-ponies.
Now I picture everypony having to shoo them away from their porch lights.

I think that's part of the problem. They look MORE like ponies, than they ever needed to be.
Like, I was expecting Thorax to become a changeling monarch, yes, but not to utterly DROP all pretense to what being a changeling WAS, up until this point.
I seriously don't dig that they basically, glamified all the "non-beauty" creatures, and changed them into.... This weird beetle set up.
It's beyond annoying, and once more, we have our Pony Overlords, saving the day. Not that Thorax didn't do anything, but for the most part, he shouldn't have been changed like that.
I just can't agree with how this ended, beyond Chrysalis not being reformed.
I have only one major complaint about the episode...
I wanted Dragonlord Ember to join the group! seriously! she had such a perfect chance to appear again and grow some character, as well as form a friendship between her and Thorax for their shared connection with Spike!
Seriously writers... why did you introduce such a good character as Ember, only to throw her away and forget about her, when she would fit so damn perfectly in the final...

That does sound like a nice idea. But I suppose she would have been to powerful in this scenario. Unlike the others she does not rely on magic to save her hindquarters. She is a trained combat fighter. Plus, any dragon has to do her bidding.

Now that I have typed it out, I wish for an epic battle between Ember's dragons and Chrysalis' changelings. Ember sets it up a distraction for Chrysalis so the other four can enter the castle with less guards swarming around. The rest of the episode could still have been largely the same.
No,"Your Changeling evolved into..... Bug-pony!" jokes yet?
My biggest wish for the show was always, after I saw the third season, that Sombra would gets a proper return, that would be so awesome.
As far as the current final is concerned, despite having a little bit too much Trixie for my tast was it one of the best season final. Discord was hilarious as always, Chrysalis was an epic villain and I am very happy that they keeped her in that roll.
Harmony, as I'm sure you are aware of, I have one, single problem.
