Beats me. I guess it might have to do with she does in the Season 8 finale, but then again I don't really like to think about it on how account of stupid it all sounds.

5039519 Well, if you want to know the short version. She basically somehow communicated with Tirek and plotted to steal all of Equestria's magic so that she could take over. Still don't exactly see how that justifies sticking her in Tartarus, especially when Tirek admits he taught Cozy. Putting them together is kind of begging for history to repeat itself.

She joined the school of friendship with the explicit idea of using friendship to amass power, so that she could exert her will and desires over others, whether they consent or not. There’s nothing especially novel about her: She’s a garden variety authoritarian narcissist.

What separates her from the nearly identical Starlight Glimmer is what happened when they were confronted with the effects their actions had on others: Starlight Glimmer was sorry that she hurt others so deeply. Cozy Glow was sorry that she was caught.

My headcanon says she's got a pituitary gland problem that stunted her growth. She is actually older than the mane 6. The alternative is barbaric.

She certainly knew what she was getting into (as much as a kid can) but Tartatrus was both excessive and stupid (see how no-one notices her vanishing? If she was locked up somewhere more ordinary, somepony could sound the alarm!)
