Review Roundup: August 22nd - September 8th PLUS: New Story! · 12:47am Sep 12th, 2016
New news first: As those of you who are writeoff-oriented may already know, I recently took part in the latest minific round. My story did quite well over there, and I was planning to put it in my microfic collection... but as I tried to flesh it out to address some comments I got, it crept over the 1000 word mark, so I decided to publish it as its own piece. Behold!
On one day each year, Celestia and Luna turn control of the sun and moon over to a group of the most powerful unicorns in Equestria. Twilight is finally old enough to take part.
But she can't.
Go give it a look, if it seems at all interesting to you. And if not... well, maybe some more typical Chris-blog stuff would be more up your alley? Here's what I've been up to the last couple of weeks:

Ahem. For those of you who do not know Chris, he's modest. His 'did fairly well' actually translates out to 'Took First Place by a good margin.'

This.
Chris is, by any reasonable metric, the undisputed king of the pony minific. He has entered eight rounds and earned six medals, with the other two being a 4th-place finish and a 6th-place finish. (I'm the most dominant author in short stories, but even my medal track record there is just 8 out of 13 — a significantly smaller percentage, against much smaller numbers of contenders.)
