Something I keep seeing on here is avatars made with Pony Creator. I don't know about you, but I always felt there's a sort of stigma associated with having such an avatar. Sure, I'm not really surprised when some it's the avatar of someone who just reads on here, but when you have thousands of followers? When Pony Creator is used to create a group icon of a pretty big group? I just don't get it. Are they simply doing it because it's amusing to them, or has nobody offered to create an actual drawing? I dunno. If you or anyone you know has a pony creator avatar because of the latter reason, I'd be happy to make one for you. Pony Creator avatars make me sad. 
Speaking of Pony Creator, I highly recommend against using it to design your OCs. It lacks so much and you can't add much personality in the design. Let's take a look at a few of my OCs, for example. First, June:

I actually used a different version to create my main OC Lyric, and this version to create my OC Halo. For me, it was because I couldn't draw, but I wanted a visual representation of them that I myself could work with so I would know what the characters looked like when I wrote about them. And, from that, I've been able to have more unique art made of each character, so I feel like it's a good start for people who are writers but not artists like myself.
You forget, some people can't draw for the life of them.
I made my OC in pony creator and I love her design. 
Fun fact: Stellar Bubbles was originally a Pony Creator OC.

But that was back then when I REALLY could not draw, and needed a provided reference so that I can do just as bad base edits.
Some people because they don't feel like it and iyt's not that bad. Plus, I created my OC originally on pony creator too. It's quick, easy, you can switch designs and colors easily and you can make some cute things.
Some people don't have the coin to dish out for a commissioned drawing. Not everybody is willing to draw stuff for free, I should know from experience.

My first OC was a pegasus mare who couldn't fly with a black-and-neon-green hair (Vinyl Scratch style), one blue eye, one green eye, was half blind, worked in the Rainbow Factory, and was a changeling in disguise. Her name was Glitch, she was completely insane, and her cutie mark was a knife dripping with blood.

Sure, though I also used that original Lyric icon as my icon before getting one commissioned. It was all I had, and I thought it looked better than the standard one you get when you sign up.

My MLP OC, Grey Matter (see avatar for current picture) was originally created in Pony Maker before I commissioned a user by the name of KatCygnus over on deviantArt to make the current version of her. I gave the artist creative license to design what her Psitanium Circlet, Amulet of Protection, and Bracers of Speed looked like but they decided not to do so.
Maybe I should look into finding a group to play some more of that old PonyTales RPG system with...

I use the creator as an OC base, to see what colours fitt or what kind of a pony would look good with a certain accesory and such. My problem is I can't draw, I am 14 so I cannot pay people over the internet to draw for me and I hate asking people to draw for me, cuz it seems like I am being annoying. I luckilly met an artist on fimmy and she drew my avatar for free, because she was drawing for free for a short time. Like I said I just use it as a base, like for stories and such

And I know what you mean about feeling annoying. That's why I never ask someone to draw for me unless I'm paying (only reason I'm able to do that is because someone commissioned me a pretty large amount of money some time ago).
