Angst. And music. But also angst.
Let's kick this off with music. When I feel bereft of the ability to convey how I'm feeling, I fall back on adolescent ways and peddle jams as a means of communicating my state of mind.
Psychedelic pop. Trip hop. Sure.
This one I have been listening to on repeat. Apparently it's a song about The Island of Dr. Moreau by H.G. Wells. Never read the book, but now I'm curious. Here's a video with a guy dancing to the same song like liquid.
I love TV On The Radio. So, so, so much. Honorable mention goes out to Happy Idiot, but really, I could do an entire blog of my favorites from these guys.
And then...
Stomach clenching. Body tight. I want quiet. I want things to stop and go still. Tough when you have a squealing 2-year-old.
I have found a way to come back from what seemed like a defeat yesterday after we were apparently declined for a home. Trouble is, despite getting back into the competition for this awesome house, they still need a bunch of stuff. We're competing with four other people for this place.
I'm feeling rather bereft of words at the moment. Stressed. Surly. I wish the world were simpler.
Alas, it is not.
*hugs*
You'll make it. Just have faith that you will.
Ah squealing nino such is their way
It's the song of their people you know
A simple world sounds nice.
