Writing updates. Chattin' up about life. Not a dense post, but get it after the jump.

The draft for the next chapter for What They Hope to Find is finally complete. (For realsies this time!) I'll try and edit and post before Christmas, but no guarantees. If you've read Chapter 6, then you know it had some heavy stuff in it. I don't really wanna try and justify it or explain it because I think it doesn't need any of that. I'd been intending to go that route for a while and I'm glad I got there. There may be some criticism for the level of exposition happening (and just a heads up, it's still gonna resume in ch7) but to get these stories as far as I can before a possible burnout happens I decided to forge ahead. I'm not going to apologize for the execution, but I can respect if this irks you. There are still plenty of other things that aren't being revealed (and if we'll all recall, WTHtF is just a detached arc for WTEtG) so I feel confident as I didn't let all the cats out of the bag.
On a much lighter note, my commission was completed! peachmichea did such a tremendous job. I couldn't be more pleased.

I was thinking of doing an anthology series comprised of smaller SoL vignettes with the cast from my EQG college fics. I had a few cute ideas. Would you guys be into that? I feel like I have so many things I'm juggling, but at least with that idea, the vignettes would more or less be stand-alone. So... technically it'd never be incomplete! Yay!
After WTHtF ch7 rolls out, I'm going to take a break till sometime after New Year's. I just feel like I wanna rest my brain a bit. Also, I want to crochet pony dolls! And work on my website! And maybe dabble in music production! And read other people's writing for once! I need time to invest in my other interests, yo.
The holidays are exhausting and I can't wait for them to be over. I just spent a good chunk of today running around and buying ingredients for a cauliflower goat cheese gratin I'm planning to make for Christmas, as well as stuff for peppermint-flavored candy cane shaped sugar cookies. I am excited for my 2yo girl to see all the My Little Pony stuff she got this year! (I may have gone overboard actually, lol) My 9yo boy grew up with MLP and he's always enjoyed it, but it's never been his favorite, y'know? So this is the first time I got to go all-out with it.

The new cover art is slick. I especially appreciate how beefy they made Applejack look. Excited to see what deep introspective chats the girls have enzymes chapter.
