Strep, and writing more... adult stuff? · 9:11pm Jul 2nd, 2016
First off, some breaking personal news: I got tested positive for strep throat, which really sucks. I get strep all the time, and I hate it.
I have a bit of a weird question to ask. I have some oneshots planned for Coppermane & Fluttershy that involve them going further in their relationship... in certain ways.
I've already written one oneshot like this, Amorous, and people loved it. It was my first popular story. But this was a teen sex-tag story. I'm talking about mature sex-tag stories. I don't want to go full clopfic, but I don't know how else to do it.
Will you guys think less of me if I write clopfics? Maybe I'll be good at it? Which might be something to be proud of, and it might not be.
I aim to keep the characters in character as much as possible, unlike other clopfics that completely flip their personalities to the point of annoyance. I also aim to focus more on the emotional aspects of it.
So will you guys think less of me? And will you read them if I write them? I understand some of you are very young (I'm talking to two specific people here who I know for a fact are too young) or have ethical problems with it, but I want to know before I delve into a project like this.
I'm not gonna think less of you man. If you want to do it, do it. Its your decision.
I don't read a lot of those, but I'll make an exception this time around.
i could show you a less professionally edited version of mine if you want alight example.
If you wanna write it, write it. Its cool. If someone judges you on just that then they have no business judging you at all.
Well...
Personally, I don't read clopfics. I don't have anything against the people that read them or write them, though.
If you do end up writing one, my opinion on you and your stories won't change. Just because you wrote a clopfic wouldn't mean that you're not a good writer/person.
I'd also probably read it up to the point where things get schmexy, but no further.
But that's just my opinion. I don't find very much appeal from clop, or even porn for that matter (same thing, I guess).
So what I'm saying is... just go for it if you want to, pal. I'll read it until I see some clop getting set up.
Oh, and hopefully that strep throat goes away! Get better soon, pal.
You can go ahead if you want, but I should warn you that most clopfics get higher views then other stories and that has left some authors disliking them eventually. Don't mean to sound harsh, but it can happen.
Personally, I don't read clop or anything in that manner but I will not think less of you if you chose to write it. I'll read a little into the story. Once the clop starts, however, I'm not going to read any further because I don't find clop appealing or enjoyable. Oh, and I hope that you get better soon!
Honestly, I have been waiting for their relationship to get to this stage. I would be intrested to see how they both get into a situation where they both want too. (P.s after reading Amorous I think you would be great at writing clop)
Hey, if u want to do it, just go for it. I won't judge u.
Well, I don't really know you but I wouldn't think less of you. I wouldn't read it most likely but that's just because I don't like that sorta stuff most of the time in stories.
Honestly I think that if someone wants to write something (or at least wants to try to write something) new to them, they should go for it. And if their readers don't like it, they can go and, you know, not read it.
The only big "concern" here, is you, and whether you'll accept what'll come with you writing a clopfic. Because if you do write one, odds are, someone will draw smut of it, regardless of whether you ask them to stop (the author of the story "Heartbreak" had this similar problem, where they drew smut of his/her oc even though he/she asked the artist not to, and he/she was very distressed about it).
Heck, odds are there is smut of your character now, if you look hard enough. But that character being represented in a sexual manner will really up the chances of it. And you'll need to accept it and not get upset if someone decides to "illustrate" that story.
If you're fine with all of that, I say bloody go for it!
How about this… you're worried about losing followers by writing clop? I promise to unfollow you if you don't write clop within three months. There's some motivation for you.
