New Audiobook by ThelifeonCloud9: All Nightmare Long

    Happy Nightmare Night, everypony!

As part of this year's Month of Macabre, ThelifeonCloud9 has released an audio production of my story All Nightmare Long. (Trivia time: Cloud9 got her start in fandom audio productions four years ago, with a bit part in Scribbler's production of another story of mind, Holder's Boulder.)

    Check it out below:

    Audiobook Directory

Over the years, several fandom YouTubers have created audio productions of stories from the Horse Voice bibliography. These are now very numerous, and so for the convenience of listeners, I have compiled them here.

Many thanks to those who liked my stories enough to create these great renditions.

    You Are Not Alone

This message is very, very late by the standards of the Internet. But my conscience won't let me rest until I say how I feel.

A week ago, news broke that former fan-author Jetfire2012 had taken leave of his sanity and picked a fight with an entire crowd... with predictable and well-deserved results.

Dear Ponies, Allow Me to Play You Out

Here in Canada, tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day. And so for myself and other Canadian bronies, the timing of Pony's finale, almost to the day, is quite fitting.

But really, who needs a red-letter day for thankfulness? This event may be bittersweet, but we can all be thankful for the good times, for the lessons that help us, for our creations, and for each other.

My Interview at BronyCon: Slightly Less Cringey Than I Expected

"Um, uh, uh, er, um, uh, y'know..."
    --Me

Surprise, everyone! One of my fans, Tyler Hinton, managed to find me at BronyCon 2019 and ask for an in-person interview. The result: About six minutes of me spilling my guts, interspersed with ten minutes of "um's." Luckily, Tyler edited the boring parts out, so my long, rambling answers don't drag on too much.

The Best PMVs--Let's Have 'Em! · 2:35am Jun 29th, 2016

This fandom has produced no end of beautiful art, and one of my favorites is this gem from the early days.

(I understand there was a story based on this, but can't seem to find it. If anyone knows of it, please speak up!)

Back then, ponies were there when I needed them. Now I need that again. A few good PMVs will help put me back in the writing spirit, but I don't know where to look for the best. So post your favorites here, and maybe we'll all find some good new (or old) ones!

For starters, here are some to bring back memories.

Cheers,
HV

The Stars Will Aid Her Escape is still not only my favorite PMV, but one of my favorite things produced by the fandom, period. It's superb and I've never seen any other music video come even close, even with all the fancy edit skills.
I'm fond of these too, though

The Stars Will Aid In Her Escape is one of the best, in part because it has the perfect song, and in part because it makes very creative use of the base work.

It is up there with Is Your Purpose Clear, Twilight Sparke?

Oh, that takes me back. Back when I used to read Equestria Daily, well, daily, I could probably pull together a nice list of PMVs. Not so much anymore, though. I think a good place to search for good new ones would be to go through JHaller's top ten videos. There's a bunch of stuff in there, and some of them are PMVs so some of them are probably good. That's just a guess, I haven't gone searching through there because I've been searching my old youtube favorites and whatnot.

Here's a list old PMVs I clobbered together.

Equestrian Mythos

Tenacious Dash - Kickapony (Plus short: Classibow)

Whip It

Pony Sauce - NRG (WARNING: Really weird. Also technically not a PMV. But excellent if you like what it's doing.)

Play Like Pinkie (Part of a six part series. I guess I'll include Strive Like Applejack here also.)

It's a Brand New Day (Short.)

Through the Fire and Ponies (From way back in 2011 and it shows. Maybe not actually that good.)

Dare to be Stupid (Another old creaker from 2011. Comedy.)

My Little Pony - Rainbow Dash - You're Gonna Go Far Kid [Explicit] (Probably the only one in this list that actually qualifies as one of the best PMVs. Responsible for hundreds, if not thousands of people joining the fandom. Yes, it's pitch-shifted.)

Believe it or not, those are the best PMVs I could find among my assorted internet detritus and what I could dig up through memory. I cut lots of not-so-great PMVs and, well, that's my best go at it. Somehow it's almost all high-energy stuff, too, so sorry if that's not what you're looking for.

Bonus not-at-all-a-PMV animation because you can't stop me!

Oh god, that The Garden PMV was mind-blowing back in the day. Way higher production value than you'd expect back then. Thanks for digging that up, haha.

It's past midnight and I'm trying to get myself to go to sleep so I'm not gonna dig up the link but the animation for lullaby for a princess took two years and is absolutely amazing on top of the song being absolutely amazing to begin with

I've never been one for PMVs, strangely. I used to watch AMVs all the time; maybe it was just a phase. But anything I've ever needed has been provided by YTPs and Ponies: The Anthology. :B

And there is a story based on that first. I've read it. Ask horizon, he'll know which one it is.

Drat, beaten to it by the OP.

But yeah, Cosmic Love is one great bit of fan content.

Know of one that haven't been posted yet, though. One I almost never hear talked about despite still looking fantastic.

Because I'm a:

Spike Jones fan from my youth, I'm quite partial to the following.

Also, I'll post it here as well: the story based on the Cosmic Love video is Martian's "The Lost Place."

(I understand there was a story based on this, but can't seem to find it. If anyone knows of it, please speak up!)

I read it, but I wasn't a huge fan. I think it was The Lost Place (oddly, it has no Nightmare Moon tag, which made it harder for me to find).

I didn't feel like it translated well between the music video and text.
