I think by this time I can safely say that's there is only two chapters left of the story plus maybe an epilogue, we'll just have to see.
This story has taken slightly longer to to write than I had initially planned but that's just the way it goes. 
But hey at least I haven't taken a year break from it like with the Time Keeper. 
If you haven't read chapter 22 yet:
Now then as you may have noticed I revealed in a twist that King Sombra's actually been alive since chapter 18, there were originally going to be hints that pointed towards it but I dropped most of them because I felt it would serve better if it was a surprise to just about everybody. Hasn't stopped some from guessing it before I posted chapter 22 but what can I say, some people know me better than others. 
The only real original hint I left was that since chapter 18 ,Sombra kept himself outside Private's body. He's though been throwing a lot of dust into Private's eyes and to lesser extend the readers, keeping up the act and never even alluding the fact that he's already in a physical body.
Although I couldn't resist throwing in a little something in chapter 20 to allude that something was not quite right, but disguised it as Private thinking he was finally going mad.
I realise though that this might feel like it comes out of nowhere especially since I had been by the looks of it building up to Private being dragged unconscious back to the Crystal Empire with Sombra still inside and blasted with the Crystal Heart to free him. Now I won't lie, that was indeed what I originally intended though I always kept the story open for other possibilities in case I didn't think that was the right direction to go. That's the problem with plans, sometimes down the road you suddenly think up something you feel is just better.
I won't of course tell you how the story ends, we still have two chapters to go but really the ending itself has hasn't actually changed that much I'm just going a different route towards it than initially planned because I felt the original set up would be too similar to the ending that is currently happening in the comic Ask King Sombra.
I'll talk more about this once the story is done, just felt like touching on this in a blog since the short author note doesn't elaborate as much.
