I tried to come up with some clever rhyme on the spot, but I really am pressed for time. White rabbit is fucking with me today.
Had lunch with daddy-o. Kiddo is asleep in the car. Gonna drive 30 minutes to some used game shop for a GBA charger... Not because we desperately need one in our lives, but because it's an excuse to let my son keep sleeping (transferring him from the car to the crib has a %50 chance of waking him in a bad mood) and also to stay the hell out of the house. I have stuff that I could do while at the house. Chores. Writing. Reading. But today's conversation with my estranged parent dug up a surprisingly energetic font of anger, for which I know my usual distractions will be insufficient. Pity too. I had started a writing advice post and was working on my latest chapter for What They Expect to Give. Hopefully I'll feel better when I get back. If I can just hold out till 4:30, I should survive the day without any serious meltdowns.
Anger wells up out of nowhere, and that is why it's frightening.

It is frightening! I was in a rather good mood up until I spoke with my father. I wasn't even mad at him. Just talking about my current situation got me riled up, as if I was just realizing what was going on. It knocked me for a loop.
