So about Pokemon Shuffle.

Have you captured Zygarde Complete Form?

I have, seeing as he's one of the only Pokemon on that game to have four medals...

Pokemon Shuffle hum...?

Without actually using it the gameplay looks much like puzzles and dragon's or that pony game with the weird theme song.

But I am a huge Pokemon fan and I use mobile games, my only concern would be if the game is just mindless execution of the same motions level after level without much thinking involved then I think I would enjoy more to play something else.

PS: What made you decide to put Talonflame on your champion party?

3932513 Pokemon Shuffle is a match-3. Try it, see if you like it. It IS free to play.

As for Talonflame, Talonflame is a very versatile Pokemon, and mine can kill almost anything in one hit.

As for Talonflame, Talonflame is a very versatile Pokemon, and mine can kill almost anything in one hit.

I... I fail to see how, what kind of Talonflame have you raised? How do you use it in battle? Would you say it would work in competitive play?

3932761 Well, the go-to moves are Fly, Flame Charge, and Steel Wing. That alone makes Talonflame effective against multiple opponent types. With high enough accuracy, Fly is a perpetual OHKO engine. Flame Charge takes more work, but is good against Ice and Steel... Honestly, about the only bad matchup types with Talonflame are versus Electric, Ground, Rock, and Water. Anything else, my level 90 Talonflame can rip to shreds. (Even nerfed to level 50 for competition play, it's still a beast.)

3932761 Talonflame isn't top tier for nothing. While its only notable stat is Speed, it has a fantastic ability in Gale Wings. This gives all Flying Moves used by Talonflame priority, meaning they hit like Quick Attack. In addition, it can learn Brave Bird, Roost, and Tailwind, and its Attack is high enough to do respectable damage. Flare Blitz is the icing on the cake as its Fire move of choice. Basically, Talonflame is a hard-hitting and very fast Pokemon who is almost impossible to outspeed. He does have his weaknesses, most notably to Rock-types and his dependence on recoil moves. His defenses are rather poor, too. Regardless, Talonflame is seen on quite a few competitive teams. I'm thinking about using him in a Doubles team I'm making.

3933138 Hmm, competiton play often underestimates the value of bread-and-butter moves. I hate recoil moves, personally, and avoid them wherever possible. Fly is my go-to Flying move of choice. Besides, its only real weakness is moves like Smack Down, and in competition play, you usually aren't expecting someone to use as pedestrian a move as Fly despite its devastating power.

3933138 Nice.

I love talking pokemon, although I have been away from the videogames since D&P and I pretty much consider myself less than a noob as a result I could still understand what you said pretty well, I'm still not exactly sure how abilities work since I haven't played a game that uses them yet, but since I was told about Pokemon Showdown I have been thinking about about getting back with the video games.

On another note, has any of you considered checking out the trading card game online, the game has truly become something I'm telling you it has evolved as much as the videogames in recent years and the international competition is fierce although perhaps not as much as the videogames right now it's still mighty difficult to be among the best at any given moment.

3934042

Is that because the way they are marketed, because you have never been a fan of the game play, or just on principle?

3934167 A little of each, plus general lack of money to sink into them and preference for other things.

3934248 I see, I was going to mention that the online tcg it's free, but that doesn't do much for the other things.

Well, as they say to each their own right?

3934439 Online CCGs....ehn...it kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it? In any case, there are better ways to waste my time, and lots of things I never get around to doing that I desperately want to do.

Online CCGs....ehn...it kinda defeats the purpose, doesn't it?

Not at all, with players being able to obtain anycard available in the standard format and digital deck building tools each player can in theory build it's ideal deck making the competition all the more endearing, or soul crushing if you haven't learned the ins and outs of:

A) getting the cards you need and
B) using them properly in the game.

By the time your matchups become against more experienced players.

In any case, there are better ways to waste my time, and lots of things I never get around to doing that I desperately want to do.

Yeah I imagine, like many things it is a significant time consumer so it's only natural to avoid it if you know you want to do other things instead.
