Ugh. Sympathies. I remember the bullshit I had to go through for a slipped disc. They refused to treat it with anything but physical therapy until five years after the accident, and the disc had completely prolapsed and wrapped around my spinal cord. I wish you substantially better luck than I. I don't know what you're going in for, but for me, core strength, pain reduction, and overall QoL were vastly increased by pool therapy with phys therapy as maintenance stuff to do at home.
