Dusk Sets · 11:30pm Mar 29th, 2016
Wow. It really has been a while, hasn't it? Time really has a habit of getting away from me, but I know that's a terrible excuse.
The past year and before has certainly had me busy. I'm wrapping up my year of university and there's been a lot of work to do. But that isn't the only reason things have ground to a halt.
My longtime partner Sci-Fiwizardman, much like myself, has gone dark on me. I have no idea why or what's happened, but he has. When he came along, this really became our story as much as mine. We worked closely together and he had a lot of great ideas. Grand in fact. So grand that I can't do it on my own. There are many details, small and large, that we never even talked about because we weren't at certain stages in the story yet. There's stuff I don't even know about and it's something I can't complete without him. It's just too big, a lot bigger than I ever really intended or felt comfortable writing.
That's why I'm announcing this officially. I feel I should have done this a long time ago, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to.
Dusk is cancelled, indefinitely. I'm so sorry to all of you, but I've lost my spark for these stories. I'm still writing, but not for this. It's past my time, honestly.
Thank you all for sticking with me as long as you have. I'm sorry that it ended in disappointment. To quote an alien time traveller:
One day, I may come back. Yes, I may come back. Until then there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs and prove to me that I'm not mistaken in mine.
Be strong, be swift, be just.
shame, your series was actually what inspired me to start writing MLP fanfiction in the first place...I'm absolute rubbish mind, but still, this story really pushed me to do it.
Sorry to hear you've lost your spark for these stories sir, but take off as much time as you need.
Until next time Raggedy man, until then, take care.
I'm sorry to hear that. While I enjoy your stories, it's your decision to make. Have fun writing and to quote a wize man "Though we may part ways I hope we shall meet again someday".
I remember reading the first of the Dusk books during my sophomore year of college. It was a real pick-me-up in a semester where I ended up failing two classes and had to retake them. But each chapter brought a smile to my face. It was the first fanfic to become an absolute favorite of mine.
I sincerely hope this story will one day be marked "Complete," and it will once again put a smile on my face.
......Welp, if anyone needs me I'll be sitting in the corner, being depressed.
Demn.... rip in pieces Dusk.
But seriously, whatever you feel like doing and if you ever will pick up this series again, I can only say one thing:
"Godspeed you magnificent bastard....." - The Soldier from TF2
Also, recently a little game called Undertale came out and it reminded me a LOT of Dusk's character and how he views things like violence being the only answer or not.
In fact, I could point out several things that Dusk would theoretically enjoy from Undertale.
It has been, and still is, a great story line. This will sit on the shelves in the FiMfiction library, welcoming everyone who would wish to open its covers and read it.
Thank you and your friend for making it this far. Godspeed to you both!
A shame but to be fair, expected..
I should probably start my Equestrian Dusk project, now that I can work on it without worrying canon will change.
Keep in touch.

I kinda knew this was coming, but in all honesty, I'm okay with it. Saddened, but I get it. Dusk was great, and I woulda loved to see it continue, but it's hard to do when you're left to go it alone.
I wish you all the best, and I look forward to reading the rest of the FNAF series that you've been putting out.
Thanks Dusk, for all the great times we had. I enjoyed reading your adventures. And now I get to draw my own conclusions as to how your story ends.
Goodbye Dusky.
I won't deny I'm disappointed and a little upset about this, but I'll also be understanding of this decision. I still support you, and I thank you for these great stories and for being my inspiration to start my own. Best wishes Alpha. We'll hopfully see you back soon with the next in the Synthetic Saga.
this needs to stop happening to awesome stories
this fandom is awesome the stories are awesome
and i don't want to see this all die
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! This can't be happening!!!!! Your MLP stories about Dusk are among my favorites in the fandom!! It can't be cancelled!!!! I mean, an indefinite hiatus, that's understandable, but NEVER FINISHING IT????!!!! *faints in sheer horror*
It doesn't have to be cancelled forever. We understand that you got a lot going on in your real life and that you've hit a major block with Dusk's saga, but maybe you just need a bit of a break to get everything taken care of in your life and find a way to get that spark for Dusk back. I mean, MLP Season 6 just got started, that might help ignite the flames of inspiration, right? Maybe not right away but eventually!
Please don't be so quick to give up on Dusk, he's an AAMAZING character that you created and his story is awe-inspiring! There's still so many questions left unanswered, I know that I'd go crazy if I never knew what would happen next!
No matter how much time you need to take off, we loyal readers will NEVER give up on you and this amazing saga you've created. Just don't give up on Dusk, don't give up on us, and don't give up on yourself. We still believe in you just as much as we all beloeve in Dusk. You're the mastermind behind him after all!
And what sucks is that you cancel it before we get to the really good stuff.
Why... I really wanted to see it continue...
Damn it! I was already started reading book 2 and became invested in the story before I found this. And considering he has been missing from the site for a year and a half, it’s safe to say it’s never going to be finished. The only hope I have is that his partner who was active a few months ago
