    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Couple Things I Need to Ask · 2:54am Mar 2nd, 2016

So, I've started writing the next chapter of Brotherly Bonding Time, and, well, I'm not putting spoiler warnings on this one because I'm currently trying to figure out something and I'd like your guys' input.

Being a one-off character in the IDW comics, there's not much to find about Ponyacci. Seeing as he's going to have a role in "Episode" 12, do you guys have any idea how I should write his personality? Or perhaps some tidbits like the name of his hometown (where the Sandwiches are going next) and what ponies he'd know?

I know I want to write him having a family, and I did take a page out of Scoots2's book by having Cheese know him and having been mentored by him. But, right now, I'm still a little confused about what other details to include in the story.

Another thing I'm asking is about the next Birthday Bio, which is about Flora's father, March Redwood. I'm trying to figure out how to intertwine the whole military thing with his life story, as well as what the heck the Equestrian Military is supposed to be. We've gotten some things out of the Cutie Re-Mark with the Crystal War, but it isn't much. Even worse, I can't find good speculation about it without running into groups about human soldiers (I want Equestria's military, not some random human in the US military!).

All right, that's all I'm asking.

If it's military stuffs you want, I've got plenty of headcanons for that. Let me know if you want me to rant about them. Lol.

More a bit later--I'm typing on my iPad, and after a while it gives me a headache. But I had Ponyacci from a little Italian style village called Mane-tua. For what it's worth, I gave him a wife (Ma Ponyacci) and multiple kids and grandkids, including a son named Pickle Barrel who completely failed to inherit his father's sense of humor. In the comic books, he has a clown school, which was Pinkie Pie's idea. I just tweaked it a little bit so it was back in his mountainous little village and not just down the road in Ponyville. Of course, in my headcanon, Party Favor is another of his student/mentees.

There was a Tumblr blog called Ask Ponyacci by Matt Garner. There aren't lots of comics, but they are a lot of fun, and I've mined them for ideas.

3787144 Well, feel free to either reply to this comment or pop in my inbox with your headcanons. I'm planning to put out March's Birthday Bio tomorrow (since that's the day I marked as his birthday).

3787457 Well, you're certainly giving me a few ideas. Though I might end up coming up with a different name for Ma Ponyacci. Hmm, I'll be mulling over your ideas and see what they spur me to do. At least I'm not on a time crunch like I am with the Birthday Bio.
