Status Update: Colors of the Heart and General State of Writing. · 12:58pm Feb 13th, 2016

Hey everyone! Just wanted to give everyone an update on to what I've been up to late, as it's been a while.

I bring good news, and lots of it for my Colors of the Heart readers. As I had mentioned before, With my recent influx of inspiration, I decided to approach Colors of the Heart's ending in a different way. Though with this decision, it ended up with me throwing away over 20,000 words of material I could no longer use. Which sucked pretty bad.

However! This cloud has a silver lining, as I have written over 15k words in two chapters in the past month. The finish line is well within sight and I'm currently riding the spark of inspiration after having read a particular (and very amazing) bit of fanfiction for one of my favorite visual novels. It served as yet another reminder of why I love fanfiction, and how I want to share that love to others through my own writing.

Knowing that soemthign as simple as words that I type can move the hearts and emotions of people is still a feeling that surprises me. I'm not sure I'll ever get used to that praise, as I don't see my writing as anything special, really. I'm just one of a bajillion other authors here on fimfic after all. But if people enjoy my work, that's all the more reason for me to continue to push forward; so that they can enjoy those feelings that I experience when I read a fanfic that I enjoy. I only hope that I can live up to that standard.

Also. As of January, I've been on this site for four years. I started planning and writing colors of the heart three years ago, in which time I have edited or preread for over 25 stories, co authored for two, and briefly taken over another. Needless to say, but I have improved exponentially since my beginning and writing most of Colors of the Heart, with a large piece of that being within the past two years or so working alongside Maximus Reborn in the Spiders and Magic series.

This leads me to my next piece of big news. You'll notice colors of the heart has vanished. Don't worry, it isn't going anywhere! I've simply taken it down for some much needed maintenance, tuning and upgrades before I actually "finish" the story. I won't necessarily be changing anything, but more so just improving what is already there, making all around just "better" as a whole; upping it's general quality to the current picky standards of my writing ability.

(Because looking back over it, there is much room for improvement.)

So there you have it. Colors of the Heart is not at all dead, but making progress to it's finish. Along with two surprises to come after it's conclusion. So look forward to it.

Best of fortune there, Azuminnnnnn~

Colors of Heart i've been meaning to read, maybe it's good I put it off while you get more done? :twilightsheepish:

Oh good. When that story is finished, I'm going to re-read it.

As happy as i am to hear this amazing news, i must say my English is getting rather rusty.

Knowing that soemthign as simple as words that I type can move the hearts and emotions of people is still a feeling that surprises me.

For I do not recognize this word.

That's "Something" as a result of my posting this just before going to bed. :pinkiecrazy:

This is also a large part as to why I took it down for now. So people don't start reading or rereading it until I have it all polished up. :raritywink:

Knowing that something as simple as words that I type can move the hearts and emotions of people is still a feeling that surprises me.

It can inspire just as much as move. Words are a very powerful thing, beyond just ones and zeros in a computer, to text on a screen. That it inspires many people to feel what the character feels or to see what was meant to be seen. Enough that many great story get's people to do art for them, something as simple as a doodle to something grander like a portrait. I can't wait to read the touched up version as well as see how this story concludes.

I know, 'twas a joke. I just found it kinda ironic that you misspelled a word in the same sentence you used to express your surprise at your words getting such strong reactions.

Took it down while I was binge reading it.

Um....I hate to be a bother, but I have had your story Colors of the Heart on my kindle for a while now, and I just got to readying it. Anyway, I just reached chapter 24 and I think i'm about to finish It, but when I went to get it updated, I found out that your story was password blocked, and I was unable to get a more updated copy. If it would be possible, could you possibly allow me access to it, for I would very much like to continue reading, for I want to see Snooty brought to justice, and Prism find her happy ending.

Um...that is...if that's ok with you....:fluttershysad:

I guess two things, Is everything alright? and Is Colors of the Heart coming back? I care more about your state of being than if I get to read/reread a story, but I'd also like to know if I should give up on waiting for it to come back. It was one of the stories I absolutely loved here and I don't want to wait on its doorstep waiting for it to return if it isnt coming back.

Wishing you well either way.

Hey Azu, don’t know if you will ever read this, but I just have to say, still holding out hope that this story will be view able again one day, however I have noticed that the link is no longer password blocked, it now takes me to the dreaded 404 not found page.

That being said, I have to ask...did you remove the story, and if that is the case, can I ask why?
