Would it KILL Sony to update the PS3 XMB "sort" command to include "sort by name"? When you've got over 40 games installed on your PS3, it's a BITCH to go through that list when you can only sort by date. :ajbemused:

Sony doesn't care about the PS3 anymore, they stopped supporting in January of last year. They're only focused on the PS4 and PS Vita. Microsoft recently announced they're going to shut down 360 servers, meaning the seventh generation of consoles is coming to an end, and just as Nintendo seems poised to once again jump the gun and be the first to announce a next generation console.

3730728 Don't they need the servers for backwards compatability? I can play most 360 games online

WHAT? You can't sort by name in a PS3? Isn't that like essential? WTF?! :rainbowhuh:

3730728 Your info is faulty. Sony still updates the PS3 operating software periodically and they're nowhere close to disabling PSN support for it (hell, the PSP can still access PSN, because it's one big network for all Sony devices.)

3730768 For some inane reason, you can only sort game content on your PS3 by creation date, recently played, or by "format".

Sorting anything on the PS3 is a real pain. I don't have that many downloaded games on it anymore, but flicking through that damn list wastes valuable playing minutes. Especially since you're scanning through for the shorter games.

I wonder if that's something you can fix on a modded ps3. I know it's a thing on psp custom firmware, but I don't dare mod a system I actually use online like my ps3.

Well, I don't have that exact problem because I don't download games, but I know the feeling. My mp3 player only sorts by song name. You can't change it. Artist name? Psh, what does that matter?

3731542 Yeah, I don't have any interest in modding my PS3. It's just a minor annoyance, in any case.

I might not be a sony gamer, but that's gotta suck with the PS3.
