New Chapter is Feature Complete; Should be Posted in the Next Few Days · 10:40am Jan 22nd, 2016
The hard part's over, guys. I've filled in all the holes in the chapter's outline with upwards of 6k horse words. Every scene that I wanted to happen, has happened. Some happened in ways I wasn't quite expecting them to, but that isn't such a bad thing.
Now comes the part that's less of a challenge than making up things that never really happened, whole cloth: editing! (Well, that and coming up with amusing-but-not-actually-dirty wizard unicorn swears. Suggestions for those in the comments are welcome, by the way, and will be credited in the AN at the end of the chapter if I end up using them!)
I may be kinda weird for enjoying the editing phase, but I totally do. There's a nice mechanical aspect to a lot of it that I find relaxing, where I can just work through it until it's done. It's also an opportunity for me to receive and react to feedback from whoever's helping me by proofreading, prereading, or editing, and that's always a blast for me.
Speaking of editors, proofreaders, and prereaders, those roles are currently being played by SirNotAppearingInThisFic, the Brave and Glorious the delightfully odd. Feel free to send him all of your spare virtual internet hugs. I hear he hates that, and his feathers could always use a good ruffling. 
If anyone else is interested in helping edit, preread, or proofread this thing, please PM me and I'll reply with a link that'll allow you to view and comment on the document, as well as make suggestions. While SNAiTF is doing a fine job so far, I'm always more comfortable with more pairs of eyes scanning my work and more points of view being presented for my consideration.
After all these months, I'm nearly ready to release my work into the wild. I'd make a joke comparing myself to Gabe Newell, but I've sadly been hovering around 190lbs for the past several years and am thus incapable of pulling off comparisons of such magnitude.

I'd love to help, but I have more irons in the fire than a frustrated golfer. As for unicorn swears... Blunted, cork-horned, fizzled, widdershins, and the classic "son of a misbegotten, syphilitic goat!" And that's not getting into the swears inspired by legends of the other tribes, half of which Spicy would do well to avoid while in the care of pegasi.

Sadly, Spicy is unfamiliar with such majestic creatures as they. Her people surely would have much to learn from them.
Sorry to hear you're too busy to help out, but the sentiment is appreciated. It can't be easy being Vriska levels of irons-in-the-fire-having, and I can respect that.
As for your unicorn swears, I may end up using some, or really some inspired by yours. Thanks!
