    State of the Author

So a lot of folks have noticed I haven’t been as active on FimFic lately. The enforced hiatus from COVID and the world going into lockdown kind of threw off my writing groove, and when I started getting back into writing I found that the projects I was interested in lived outside the fandom space. I think it’s probably something that was building up for a while before lockdown, anyone who’s

Winning Pony Print Edition Update · 6:45am Dec 18th, 2015

Attention readers!

Look at your screen. Now at your desk. Now back to your screen. Sadly, your desk is not like your screen.

“Why not?” you ask? Because it doesn’t have this!

Glorious, isn’t it? And better still: it’s done.

Or, halfway, at least. As of yesterday evening (December 16), I’ve just ordered a test-print of volume two of Winning Pony, which is going to take another week or two to print, ship, and check. The running estimate of $70 (USD) per person is in play, but once again, we won’t know for certain until we have a concrete number of orders. Due to the cost of international shipping, we’ll be ordering and shipping out both books together, so everyone is only going to have to pay once.

So, here’s how this is going to work: $70 USD is still a fair chunk of change, so from now until the new year, start saving if you haven’t already done so. That way, nobody has to worry about missing the ordering window due to the holiday, and it gives you time to set up a Paypal account if you don’t have one, because Paypal is the only way we’re going to be able to make this work.

In the meantime, everyone to mark their calendars for the first week of January. Barring the unforseen, that’s when we’ll start taking orders.

There's an ugly recipe for paper cuts.

Yup, still on my list to get, and I STILL haven't read it yet

No picture of the most important part, the interior?

congrats on your publishing good Chengar:twilightsmile:

I haven't had this much hype about a book printing since past sins, and yes, I'm comparing how much I like this story to past sins.:twilightblush:

Couple questions... Are you going to post on fimfiction as a blog to take orders which connect to paypal? Are both books together going to cost $70, is each $70, and how much do you expect shipping to be or is that included? Do you want someone to run through as a pre reader/editor before the final prints and/or for the next run? It might be too late for this run, but I'd love to fix any grammatical errors and such in case you decide to print more :D No matter how many people go through a story you can always find more haha. If you would like me to take a look I just wanted to make sure, is the copy on fimfiction the final copy or have more fixes been made since? Sorry to bug you, but I loved your story so much I just wanted to do whatever i could to help. I've edited one of my friend's books, Windfall by Tempe O'Kun, I'm the Kohaku in the acknowledgements section, and I'm helping another friend edit their zombie story which hopefully will sooner or later be an e-book. I made an account specifically to message you, I normally read stories without bothering to comment, so I don't know if commenting or messaging is the best way to get ahold of you... hopefully doing both won't be too annoying XD Thanks for taking the time to read my message and I hope to hear back from you soon. Hope you have a great day and a Happy New Year!
