    Watch (This) Space

    Hello everyone!

I've been gone on hiatus for a few years. I stopped watching My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in the middle of the seventh season. But a few months ago, my interest was rekindled. And the last two seasons were fantastic. The high point, for me, is the new characters -- the Student Six -- who breathed fresh life into the show.

Fallout 4: Angel's Pip-Boy Diary #11 · 1:03pm Dec 13th, 2015

I received a very special early Christmas gift today. :raritystarry:

Thank you so much to everyone involved, from Mimezinga, to all the great bronies at Absolutely Everything, to the wonderful fan who sent it to me, to my good friend who has so graciously helped me receive packages. Thank you all so much!

More of Angel's Pip-Boy Diary below the break. :rainbowdetermined2:

Angel's Pip-Boy Diary

Days 23 - 24

Day 23 – Early Afternoon
November 15, 2287

I awoke well-rested and ready to tackle the day. Today feels good. I feel solid.

I started the morning by heading up to Drumlin’s Diner for breakfast and to trade all the crap I collected over the last couple days for bullets, bottlecaps and alternate crap that I want to break down for raw materials. I brought all my pre-war money so for once I walked away with some of her caps.

Spent the rest of the morning cleaning the area around Starlight and getting construction started. We’re building a raised platform over the pond, and constructing a generator and water purifier. As always, Codsworth really makes the work go fast.

Considering how effective Codsworth is at fighting ghouls, I wanted to make sure to bring it along when I tackle the Super Duper Mart. We’re about to head in. I’ve hacked the terminal to the back entrance. The password is “MUTATED”. A little too on-the-nose, wouldn’t you say?

Day 23 – Evening
November 15, 2287

This is nerve-wracking. I can’t tell the dead from the dormant.

I’ve even scavenged from what I believed was a corpse only to have it get up half an hour later when I went back through that area. I nearly screamed out loud. (I was definitely screaming internally.) I’ve resorted to shooting every body I come across that is more than a skeleton.

If the skeletons start getting up and attacking, that’s it, I’m out.

Even Codsworth has taken affront to the situation. Yes, Codsworth, what an incredible smell you’ve discovered.

Codsworth is a beast against ghouls. I hardly have to be here. I cannot count how many ferals it has taken down while I was picking a lock or finding space in my pockets for one more item.

And I have been excessively thorough with my looting. With Starlight so close, I’m not worried about traveling light. Super Duper Mart is having a huge sale! Everything must go!

I am leaving the handcuffed Mr. Teddy in his cage. He’s clearly been a bad teddy. He also looks like he’s enjoying it too much.

I’m taking the “Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor” magazine that I found in the magazine rack. Between the subject matter and the great condition (and the fact that it looks like it was written and illustrated by a child), it is clearly a post-war publication. I have to wonder who has been writing these magazines? And who slips one into a magazine rack in the middle of a massive feral nest?

I’m also taking the laser musket from the dead Minuteman. I believe this was one of Preston’s group. Once this place is clear, I’ll be telling Preston and we’ll do a proper burial.

This mission is as much for the Minutemen as for the Brotherhood of Steel.

New Perk: Sneak Rank 3

Day 23 – Night
November 15, 2287

Night had fallen by the time I finished clearing the Super Duper Mart. Codsworth and I are both laden down as much as we can be, and I’m a little beyond that. Otherwise, I’d be tempted to try dealing with our new problem tonight.

I exited through the front door, and I was immediately blinded by a spotlight in the distance. There is a raider in power armor on the bridge across from the superstore.

I’m trudging my way back to Starlight to unload and rest. But tomorrow, we’ll deal with that raider.

Day 24 – Morning
November 16, 2287

I found a safe in a storage room behind the big screen at Starlight. I think I’m going to convert that room into workshop once the other construction at Starlight is further along.

Preston Garvey has accompanied me into Lexington. I needed to show him that my “distraction” with the Brotherhood of Steel was actively helping the Commonwealth. Our first stop was the Super Duper Mart where Preston could pay last respects to the fallen Minuteman.

Preston approves of the clearing of ghouls from parts of Lexington – in fact, we’ve been doing a little of that ourselves this morning – but he still doesn’t believe the Brotherhood of Steel is here for the benefit of the Commonwealth. I hope he is wrong. Everything I have seen so far says that they are here to help. But the B.o.S. definitely takes a larger-picture, greater-good approach that might not always be the best for individuals within the areas they are operating. Still, even if they are not, I am here for the benefit of the Commonwealth. This is my home.

I saw the Commonwealth at its greatest. Now, it is ill, wounded and hurting. I love it, and I am going to cure its sickness and nurse it back to health unless the attempt kills me.

And with that, I set our sights on taking out that power armor wearing raider.

Side note: I found all the bones of a skeleton in a laundrymat dryer. I’m probably better off not knowing the story behind that.

Day 24 – Afternoon
November 16, 2287

The explosions in the background are the raider waging war on the ghouls of Lexington who are spilling out into the square in front of the Super Duper Mart.

The raider is firing miniature nukes into the square, setting off chain-reaction explosions as each of the old cars go up like a game of nuclear dominoes. He also has a turret spraying the area with machine gun fire. And still, I can see ghouls getting onto his “bridge” encampment. There used to be more raiders with him, but he is the last one still standing.

Preston and I were looking for a way up onto the bridge when we were swarmed by ghouls. They were literally crawling out of the ruins. I’m glad it is broad daylight, because I would have screamed like a little girl if I had seen that at night. It was an intensely creepy sight.

Between the two of us, we have the skill and firepower to take them down, but only if we can keep some distance. So we were driven into a retreating firefight, running up the stairs of dilapidated buildings and crawling from roof to roof on collapsed structural elements. This is my life now. I should have joined the track team rather than the debate club in high school.

We had to jump to get to this rooftop, but we are safe from everything up here. I say let the raiders and ghouls fight it out. Then we mop up anything left.

…and that would be that. Looks like the raider and his turret are the victors. And what did they win? A few well-placed sniper shots from my Righteous Authority.

Done and done.

Blowing up the turret cause fires. I’ll go check out the scene once the flames die down…

Holy!

That is the opposite of dying down!

Day 24 – Nightfall
November 16, 2287

That raider’s camp really was a prime location. So many amazing vantage points.

Mop-up netted me several pieces of raider-quality power armor. Unfortunately, the base exoskeleton is trashed beyond repair. I can’t even get the guy out of it. I also retrieved his fatman. He had notably used up his entire armament of mini-nukes on the ghouls.

My next cleaning mission from Rhys is Hubris Comics. God, Nate would be jealous.

Right now, I’m spending the night at Oberland Station. Oberland Station is a very tiny farm that has been having trouble with raiders who are holed up at Back Street Apparel. I’ve been to that store. The selection was small, but the staff made up for it by being extra snooty. More importantly, it is no Corvega factory. As far as raider camps go, it shouldn’t even up to the level of the “bridge” encampment. I’ll get a few hours sleep, then Preston and I will deal with tomorrow at dawn.

I passed Beantown Brewery on the way here. I’m making a note to myself to go back later and check it out.

Morning kkat :pinkiehappy:

Well isn't that an adorable Christmas gift you got there! You deserve it mate!

I am leaving the handcuffed Mr. Teddy in his cage. He’s clearly been a bad teddy. He also looks like he’s enjoying it too much.

:rainbowhuh: I... I think Angel needs some sane human interaction. I realize that's a lot to ask for in the Wasteland, but still.

Glad to hear you're on board with the Bos, I believe that they're the Commonwealth's best chance at a stable future. What I love about this game is that all of my friends have had different opinions and endings. We all had different views, and were able to follow them. :pinkiehappy:

yay puppy interesting adventures!

also bad bear is bad

Wonder if we'll get an Omake featuring the many deaths of Angel

I need to read Pink Eyes :P and also work on my own Fo:E story~
and see if it ends up as one of the big ones and gets printed hardback, amateur ambitions ftw

And what an awesome book you got, hope its a fun read! And awesome blog, loving these things! :yay: hahaha.
Keep it up!

Super Duper Marrt! Super Duper Marrt! Where the prices are just right, but your ganna have to fight!

Hopefully the BOS is really being the good guys. The greater good is all very nice. That is unless your on the other side of the greater good.

I haven't read Fallout Equestria: Pink Eyes yet. Sadly, working on several projects puts me behind on my reading. Coincidently, catching up on my reading puts me behind on my projects. :rainbowlaugh:

Looking forward to more of these Pip-Boy blogs!

3615383 I followed the Railroad and the Institute until I had to make a choice. I went with the Railroad. In the end I just wish they could've all gotten along somehow. At least the Railroad and the Institute. :facehoof:

Another awesome entry, as usual. Heh, when I ran across that raider with the Fat Man, after I realized what he was packing, I just walked my way out of there in the opposite direction and didn't look back. I never did go back for him, now that I think about it.

3617219 that's part of the beauty of the game. We can all follow our own paths. I heard there's a way to make peace between the railroad and the brotherhood, but that's not the ending I ended up doing. I liked the railroad's ideals, didn't like the people in it. :rainbowlaugh:

3617802 Same was true for me with the BoS. The thing that annoyed me most about the Railroad and Institute was how uncompromising their leaders were in dealing with each other. Somehow even though you can become the leader of the Institute, you can't make them reconcile with anyone. It was so frustrating.

3617772 I didn't even know he was there the first time. All I heard was the shell falling and the explosion. Well I sure scored a touchdown.:rainbowlaugh:

3618091 Well, we'll have to see what our blogging friend here chooses.:rainbowkiss:

3618097 Looking forward to that.
Side Note: I did the math, in order to get the maximum rank on all perks you would have to reach level 267 :pinkiegasp:
