Ever wonder what Nightmare Moon would look like as a dragon?

She needs some snuggles

I'm thinking. Maleficent.

Yeah.... I got her.... snuggles right here.

*Readies bow and magic armor piercing arrow*

That's an old fantasy pet peeve of mine, actually.

If dragons are so ancient, so clever, and value artistry so much...

Why do you so seldom see them with armor? :rainbowhuh:

Never quite made sense to me.

Snuggles with her.

Kinda mucked up the line thicknesses in a few places, and the 'arm' of the left hand wing is rather big for my liking but overall I do like how it turned out.

1) Those dragons are the "rage, rawr, burn" types
2) Their natural armor is just that good.
3) Their constant growing habits make it difficult.
4) The smart ones don't get in a fight.
5) I think the Eragon series has dragons with armor, though I'm not too sure about that.
6) I think there's a fic I've read where a teenage dragon joins a pony crew, and wears armor (and has a vibro-blade, don't ask) However, it appears to be dead.

From the Silent Hill we scream loud your name,
Mighty power of the Dragonflame!
From the mountains proud and strong,
We call our Dragonlord!

Yeah, I would join that side. Eternal Night isn't that bad when one gets down to it. Wear a fucking sweater :trollestia:

We need Luna emoticons.

Be funny if she turns into this while confronting the mane six thinking it will be huge but turns out shes actually smaller than spike.

Generally, in all draconic mythos, their scales are stronger than manufactured armor, to the point where dragon-scale armor is the best thing outside of mythological ores such as Adamantine.

They don't wear armor. They grow armor

A nightmarish pony was already a serious threat, now there's this? Time to bring out the big guns.

Well, sure, there's quite a few reasons like that.

Just once I'd still like to see the big, bad dragon take their true form... and the enchanted mithril they're wearing just grows and shifts with them. Including the two-handed sword now also fit for a dragon.

Just a nice little 'oh crap' moment like that from the villain actually having read the evil-overlord's list. :trollestia:

You know, I was thinking "black menacing, covered in spikes and armour from head to tail... she's gotta be bloody terrifying!" But now... let's just say the nightmare doesn't feel as bad anymore.

Well, I'm planning on creating a 10 cm shotgun eventually, so there's that.
