Review Roundup: October 26th-November 6th · 12:42am Nov 9th, 2015

Hello, you several people who followed me over the last week! I assume you're mostly here because Seattle's Angels featured Wyrmlysan. Well, if you didn't already know, I don't just write ponyfic: I also review it on my blog, One Man's Pony Ramblings. So, if you want to get the complete Chris experience, go read all my posts over there! It's only about... lessee... a million words' worth? 1.5? I'm not a terribly good estimator, guys.

If that's a little too daunting for you, though, maybe a little catch-up on what I've posted in the last two weeks will be more your speed. Here's what I reviewed this fortnight:

Monday, October 26, 2015: Mini-Reviews Round 102

Short reviews of Yak to the Future, by hazyhooves; One Heck of a Case, by iisaw; and To My, Mostly, Faithful Student, by Stormdancer.

Wednesday, October 28, 2015: Fandom Classics Part 132: A Night (to Try) to Remember

My review of zaptiftun's comedy about Twilight and the girls having a few rounds too many, then piecing together what they got up to the next day.

Friday, October 30, 2015: Mini-Reviews Round 103

Short reviews of Stuffed Animals, by Kthecasual; The Problem with the Princess of Magic, by Feedbacker; and I Don't Know If I'm Real..., by North.

Monday, November 2, 2015: A bit of this and that to tend to your reading and/or pony needs

Assorted miscellany about ponies in costumes, sumo wrestling, and mythological comedy.

Wednesday, November 4, 2015: Mini-Reviews Round 104

Short reviews of How the Foundation Ruined Nightmare Night, by Drefsab; Daring Do and the Tiny Tornado, by Metool Bard; and Words Unspoken, by wille179.

Friday, November 6, 2015: Fandom Classics Part 133: Night Guards

My review of Raugos' action-filled account of the origins of Luna's bat-winged protectors.

So I guess Seattle's Angels' queue is 59 weeks long.

I'm sure that you're like me and have way too many stories in your Read It Later list already, Chris, but in the spirit of our recent holiday, I'd like to recommend 413 Mulberry Lane as an excellent psychological horror fic, if you're not familiar with it already. I read it to my family the other day (sans younger siblings) as a sort of Spooky Story Night; very fun.

That would explain why they're looking for guest reviewers, I suppose. Also, thanks for recommending the story--I didn't even know you had!

Actually, my RiL is under 200 stories at the moment! Of course, that's not including anything recommended for review as a fandom classic, nor anything I read off of FiMFic, nor anything I've already downloaded a copy of but haven't read... okay, yes, I've got a lot of stuff on my RiL list. But I'll still put 413 Mulberry Lane on there; thanks for the recommendation!
