Why, why, WHY?! · 2:00pm Aug 11th, 2012
If you're reading this, odds are good it's because you've read my latest blatant grab for the feature box, "The Saga of Dark Demon King Ravenblood Nightblade, Interior Design Alicorn".

I wrote this story in one afternoon, on a whim. And now that you all like it, I hate it. Yes, hate it. I cannot bear to hear its name mentioned! Why, why, does this shallow, meaningless, trollfic garner so much attention, while my magnum opus, which plumbs the depths of everything I care about most deeply, which I poured my heart and soul and art into, lingers in obscurity?
I am speaking, of course, of Twilight Sparkle and the Quest for Anatomical Accuracy.

Unsurprisingly, there's a trope for this. But for what it's worth, my condolences?
I liked Bad Horse before he was popular.

You knew what you were posting. You've written numerous blogs and comments about what makes the feature box and why. What you have now is a spring board, over a hundred people will know whenever you post something. So now's your chance to show off what you really do.
(Though I will warn you, it doesn't do all that much. Maybe when you have 500 people watching does something, but I've been sitting around 100 for a month or so (ship fics will do that) and have yet to make a big splash.)
