    Droppin' By

Hello, I was in the neighborhood and had just realized that my last blog post was a bit of a downer, given that it was around the time of my Grandma's passing and funeral. I think I oughta leave you folks with something a bit more upbeat or at least something neutral.

    And Now, A Newsletter

Huh, back in July I said I oughta talk more around here. It's now the day after Christmas and I have not, in fact, talked more around here.

So, I'll give you the rundown on what I've been up to since then. Warning, it gets a little long in talking about last summer's vacation and about a new fixation I have.

Well, What A Surprise · 4:19pm Oct 15th, 2015

So, apparently the updated map of Equestria has come out, and I'd like to note my thoughts on it.

(Map under the break)

So, my thoughts on this and how it relates to my stories.

Obviously, since Nickerlite and Halterside are my own creations, they wouldn't appear on the map--however, I'm happy that there's nothing really contradicting the existence of the former in my 'verse. Heck, it's not too far from Ponyville, but far enough away to require a train ride to get there, just like I had written in The Rock Farmer's Daughters and Brotherly Bonding Time. My only disappointment is that I had the White Tail Woods in between the two towns in my 'verse, instead of off to a random side.

As for the the latter...well, it's location is supposed to be on the East Coast, in between Fillydelphia and Baltimare. It's kind of a little town, so no fret.

Apparently Los Pegasus is supposed to be Los Angeles. DANG IT I HAD IT AS LAS VEGAS IN BROTHERLY BONDING TIME WHAT DO I RENAME THE CITY BECAUSE I WANTED THE PONY VEGAS FOR THE STORY BECAUSE IT SEEMED MORE LIKE A VEGAS STORY TO ME AND I WROTE IT AS VEGAS.

Okay, I'm calm now.

Also, I'm really happy that Starlight's Village was EXACTLY where I imagined it was. And the train passes by behind the mountain pass! So it's totally plausible that Cheese and Tomato got off the train there and walked (and rolled in a snowball) to the town.

The map doesn't affect much of what I've got planned for future chapters of BBT, so I'm good.

Also, I've been meaning to touch on this, but how much do you think Crusaders of the Lost Mark jumbled up the Ponyville Segment of Brotherly Bonding Time? I assume CotLM takes place sometime in the spring, while the Ponyville Segment of BBT takes place in the late spring-early summer. BBT still has them as blank flanks when they appeared. Any ideas on how I can reconcile it?

Anyway, that's my thoughts for now.

Maybe you can reconcile them by pushing CotLM to early fall/late summer and keeping the chapters where they are. I would place the most recent ep. around Labor day in the States (Sept. 7 this year) because of the whole "student pony president" thing and the mention of the playground stuff still being broken whereas much of the rest of the town has been fixed up

Las Haygas or Las Neighgas will work just fine for the city in Neighvada.

This is definitely interesting.:pinkiehappy:
