First of all, what are some good terms for a male and female griffon?

Secondly, I'm wondering about an upcoming story I have planned. During which, Luna casts a disguise over Thomas to make him look like a pony without actually transforming him. It's more like wrapping him in a second skin, with all due sensations. However, while going out in their disguises, along with Talon and Moonlight, they notice a bar holding a mare's night and decided to modify Thomas' illusion to be that of a mare instead of a stallion. Should they do this, or would that be taking things a bit too far? It's a public setting and the disguises ensure no one recognizes them. It's like a good natured prank, but one in which might not be the best idea for someone like Thomas. On the same token, his discomfort and being a mare are kinda a big part of that set of chapters. I can make the changed, but I'm wanting to hear your thoughts on the matter first.

In Misunderstandings I've seen the author use "hen" for female, and "tercel" for male. I personally think it sounds good.
I personally use "wren" to denote female griffons; I use "robin" for male griffons. "Hens" & "tercels" works too, as Gloomy Face suggested.
As for the R63 glamour joke, to me that would be a better side Story than an actual story chapter. Then agaibn, that's how I would write it.

Like I've said earlier, he's put up with a LOT of more subtle verbal crap thrown at him, especially in the last few chapters. If he's depressed, he's about to snap.
If they do put him into a female skin as a prank, it might be what causes a crisis in him, especially if they don't notice (or in his eyes, care about) his distress. I can see him looking for a way to escape the whole long-term situation after getting humiliated, especially given how insecure he is in his masculinity, being half the size of Talon.
Frankly, I don't understand why he'd want anything to DO with Talon. She just seems to push and insult him in a good-natured way.
3414423 Fair enough. I'll definitely rework it to make it gentler. However, I'd like to point out that, at least in my experience, depression isn't a constant thing. Some days I'm completely mellow and nothing really gets to me, but others the slightest bit of bad news will haunt me the rest of the day, and probably the next couple if I'm honest. I'd hold that, in the last few chapters, Thomas was having one of his better days. It would still bug him the moment his mood fell, but he wouldn't show immediate signs.
As for why he hangs out with Talon, despite her amorous nature, I consider her a bit of a big sister character. I'm planning a prequel story to cover the events between the prologue and chapter 1, during which Talon proves that she just wants to look out for him, but kinda has a funny way of showing it. In the story thus far, Talon is one of the few who goes out of their way to interact with the introvert and bring him out of his shell. Also, as a big sister, she has come to his defense in the past. All of which he appreciates.
Also, I'm addressing both these things in the next few chapters. But on that note, what do you think would be a gentler way for them to go about getting him to open up?
Don't think that they should do that prank on Thomas. He's extremely sensitive, so that'd be too far, especially when stallions would hit on him.
It depends in a big way how you implement him being made to look like a mare for a time. It changes things in a big way if, say, Luna asks if he's willing to go along with the idea as opposed to pulling it as a prank. Considering Luna is probably aware of his struggle to a reasonable degree, she might realize she needs to ask first so he can make the choice for himself, even if he privately does it to make her happy. Such considerations will also have a large impact on how Luna comes across, along with the others, based on how aware and comfortable Thomas is with being temporarily turned into a mare.
Perhaps take a moment to think of each character's perspective, what they would think about in the situation from either direction. What would they think about it if it was a prank, or if it was with permission?
3414483 Stallions already hit on him. In the latest chapter I explained in the footnotes that, in Equestria, liking both sexes is considered straight while being bent is liking only one. Mare, stallion, or human, other dudes would still want to do him.

3414441 Thomas right now, has self-esteem issues, is constantly seen as a pet of something of that nature, sees himself as somewhat of a burden, and hasn't grasped the ins and outs of this dimension. This is why Thomas' depression is around more often than not. Depression is hardest to cope without positivity, and even though Thomas does get that, he only gets it from a select few. He tends to get more negativity from others that are not his friend/mistress.
This should also explain why I think disguising Thomas is a bad idea. Plus, he is the size of a foal, even with the disguise, there is no way he is going to be let into a bar.

3415043 Fair enough, but like I said, the disguise is like a second skin. While under it, Thomas really is as tall as a regular stallion, meaning disguised Luna has to look up to meet his eyes. The idea behind it is so that they can go out and just be normal without worrying about paparazzi.
