First thing's first: I revised This Game of Mine Ch. 1-8 in order to conform to my updated style. They are now all first-person past-tense with no italicized internal dialogue (unless the character is actually having a conversation with themselves), and several minor errors corrected. Please let me know if you see anything amiss.
A lot of things happened over the last month. I'll explain what's going on here so everyone knows why This Game of Mine (and other potential stories) has been seeing delays.
1. I'm currently freelancing.
I do VFX and graphic design work - some professional, some commission, some fandom - and it takes up a lot of my time. I have been around the block in both spheres, so you may have seen some things I've made. But you probably won't know it's me. 
2. I'm helping out with Equestria LA.
Since the con is this weekend, I've re-prioritized all of my time towards making this convention a success. I'm not a huge part of the con, but I've been with EQLA ever since its inception in 2012 (back when there were only, like, 4 cons), and it's still my baby. To all those attending, thank you so much for supporting us. I hope to see some of you there, and I hope we can make you proud.
3. My $2500 computer workstation just went up in flames.
Most of the internal components and drives were fried (and yes, I've troubleshooted and verified this through multiple sources), though backups thankfully mean no data loss. Still, this puts me in a difficult position: I need a computer to work, I need to work to make money, and I need money to get a computer. That'll be fun. In a recursive, panicky sort of way.
4. Family is going through a separation.
This is an emotional and logistical nightmare, for reasons I probably don't need to explain.
All of this is going to contribute to significant delays with the story. But, at the same time, I know I'm going to need to find ways to escape. Let's just say that right now, you guys are one of my very few anchors. Thanks for supporting me and everything.

It was posted just over a month ago, and it's like if This Game of Mine were less angsty, had more shipping, focused on the war a little more, and was written by someone who's actually... you know... written things before.

Shiiiiiit man. I know how you feel. Like, I really do. My graphic's card has been fucking up lately and I'm in no shape to even have the cash to replace It (College student, yay.), me and my sister has two extremely different opinions about my mother, so we've stopped talking to eachother (My mother's a whore and a harlot away from three used holes. It's a saying from where I'm from, basically means that she's a cheap whore.).
And, as always, we're always glad to drag you down :)
