A-Camping We Will Go · 4:10pm Aug 13th, 2015
Yeah, this weekend is what my dad refers to as the Annual (insert last name here) Family Fight. Yeah, we go on a big extended family campout each year, and sometimes there's drama. Usually involving a brother-in-law that my dad doesn't really like. Or nobody really likes for that matter.
I'm looking forward to it, but also a little bummed out because I promised myself I'd finish the next chapter of Brotherly Bonding Time before this trip, but unfortunately I didn't. It's been longer than two weeks since the last one, and I'm just inching away at this current one (Celestia's so hard for me to write... ).
I'm also nervous because the last two campouts, I wasn't feeling my best (remember the kidney stone scare last year? I was still hurting from that. And the year before that... we were in Capitol Reef (central Utah), it was freakin' hot and I don't mix well with heat and a third thing I'm not going into). So yeah, while I still do like camping (gives my ideas a chance to brew, drawing with little distraction, and hopefully it gives me a chance to figure out how to get out of this rut), I'm considerably less excited than I used to be.
I'm just hoping it's a location of cool mountain air. And maybe a lake nearby so I can skip rocks.
Anyway, in any case, I now have a goal to finish that chapter before the end of the month... ugh, I thought the Canterlot arc was going to be fun, but it's turning out to be a big pain...
Have... well, as much fun as is possible given the circumstances, I suppose. And best of luck. From the sound of it, you may need it.
Hope you don't run into Bighoof!
