Alright, so I got quite a bit of questions, and now that 24 hours (give or take) have passed, it's time to answer 'em all. Since a good chunk of these questions have to do with Hater Thy Neighbor, I decided to tag that story to this blog in case readers were curious. So, here we go!
Do you want me to tell you my idea for a story that no one has ever done before?
Uh, sure?
Why choose a Jackalope for Adrian's pet?
Well, there wasn't really a specific reason. I wanted Adrian to have a pet, and I didn't want to be basic and give him a dog or a cat, so jackalope it was!
Will there be any direct involvement of the mane 6, the princesses, or even Blueblood in the story?
Nope. I thought about having the princesses make an appearance towards the end at one point, but I decided that it wouldn't really fit well in the story.
Will you introduce more species to the story? The occasional diversity in such a casual story is refreshing.
Well, probably not to this story, but I do try to put other species into the mix in my stories (Kadeem from Facing Changes, Klaus from Shades of Night). Then again, there is a scene in the next chapter where I can change the species of a one-off character, but that's all I'm gonna say about that.
Will there be a backstory chapter on the old landlord and how he became grouchy and doesn't like animals?
Nope, he's just a miserable old bastard. He will be popping up again in a major way, though.
Will there be holiday chapters? (Hearth's Warming/Nightmare Night/Hearts and Hooves)
Probably not, but I might do one-offs in the future after the story concludes. Pretty unlikely, but not totally impossible, either.
Will there be an outright opposing force against the Main Characters? (Changelings coming back/Twilight fighting Trixie/Adrian gets hels up in an alleyway)
There will, be. Very soon. Aw, shit! I've said too much!
What inspires you in your life?
When it comes to writing, I'm just inspired by everyday situations that I go through. A lot of the dialogue in Hate Thy Neighbor is inspired by actual conversations I've had with people. I also get a lot of inspiration from my family. We're really snarky to each other, but it's all love... most of the time.
How the hell do you find the time to write, draw, and make videos? I know you're a busy person, but you shoot out more material than I ever could.
I... don't really know, to be honest. I'm surprised that I haven't dropped dead by now. I think what keeps me from going insane is that I don't do everything at one time. For example, I kinda put writing on the backburner for the first two weeks in July, which is why HTN and especially MOA:AP weren't updated for a while. Thankfully you guys were patient with me. Personal drawing is currently on hold, and all the art I've been doing lately has been commissions (not complaining, though, because I still get to draw AND make money). I guess it's all about picking and choosing what to focus on at a given time.
Why did you choose a changeling as your avatar/OC?
No particular reason. I just decided to change my FIMFiction name from Sketchy Unicorn to Sketchy Changeling last year, and then when I started doing YouTube, the name just stuck, so I rolled with it.
are you considering doing a sequel to MOA (not including MOA:AP) because I don't know about anyone else but I didn't find the resolution satisfying. (please don't hurt me)
Nope, and I won't hurt you... this time. But, I gotta ask, what was it about the resolution that felt unsatisfying? I'm always open to criticism. If it helps to soften the blow, I do plan on having epilogues for all the central characters in MOA:AP that'll go a little further into the events after the story, similar to how the prologues delved into what happened before.
Do you have any scrapped story ideas lying around? If so, what were they and why did you scrap them?
So far, no. I've turned every single developed idea I've had turned it into a story. However, I might be scrapping Roped Together, since the premise is very similar to Hate Thy Neighbor in a lot of ways, and I'm not sure if I can make it different enough to stand out as its own piece. This is especially heartbreaking because this was gonna be my first AJ story, and those that know me know that she is my personal best pony.
I dunno. I haven't made a full decision yet, so I might be able to pull something off. Right now, my plan is to continue the stories I have now, and Hate Thy Neighbor will definitely be done before MOA:AP since I update it more frequently, and once HTN is done, I'll spend a month (maybe two) working exclusively on MOA:AP so I can make some fcking progress on that thing, then I'll start Of Models and Muses, and then when MOA:AP is done, the still untitled Sombra Story will be the next monthly story.
Damn, that led to a tangent.
What story(s) do you feel most proud of?
I'm proud of all of my stories, but I think the one I'm most proud of is Hate Thy Neighbor. MOA will always be my first big success, but I feel that HTN is the second coming. I feel that this is the culmination of all the works that came before it, balancing everything I learned about writing comedy, drama, and relationship progression, and I think I'm doing a good job so far. All I have to do is not f up the ending and I'll be golden.
Do think you might make a sequel to any of your stories, even if its short one-shot?
For most of them, no. The only story that I've been tempted to write a sequel for recently has been Facing Changes. It'd take place about a month or two after the original story ended. Devin gets a week-long break from school and he and his parents head to the Crystal Empire (Luna stayed behind to take over Celestia's duties in the interim). Devin finds out that Galena is also there to visit her relatives, and I'll be exploring their relationship, expanding on the possible attraction that Galena has for Devin that I hinted at in the last chapter of FC. I originally wanted Devin to go by himself so we could also see how he gets along with Cadance and Shining Armor, but I also wanted to show how much Devin's relationship with Celestia has grown, so maybe I'll leave his dad behind since (he'll have already completed his prince training by then) and make it a stepmother-stepson-niece-nephew thing.
If Roped Together hasn't been fully developed by then, I'll do this instead.
Who's your favorite anthro from any show?
Ugh. Why you gotta make me choose, tho? Umm... damn, I can't... maybe... no... I got it! This might be cheating since this is from a show based on a fighting game, but I'd pick either Taokaka or Kokonoe from the BlazBlue series.
Yup.
what do you think of the changeling in slice of life?
I didn't really think much of it. It was just a stupid a joke just like the rest of the episode.
Thanks to everyone that submitted questions, and thanks to all 800+ of you that take time out of your lives to read my shitty work! You're all awesome!
Keep it sketchy, folks!
Not going to lie, I already want to read that possible squeal for Facing Changes.
I have no idea what MOA is......

not one, but two Q&As where my questions got answered!
Sorry if my question put you on the spot.
Blazblue FTW!
