The Shortest Shipfic Ever, or Why Admiral Biscuit Shouldn't Write Shipfics.
Guys, I slaved over this thing for weeks. Hours of pre-reading, and editing; late nights just staring at the computer screen, trying to get the scene just right.
I was inspired by one of Present Perfect's stories.
I figured I could write one which was shorter, and which you could identify who both characters were.
If you guessed it was a sinking FlutterMac, then I did my job. Oh yeah, and it really only took me about three minutes, most of which was spent playing Cookie Clicker.

On a more serious note, I'll be at Trotcon next weekend. I'll be showing up Friday night—probably too late to participate in any of the festivities, but who knows? I promised Bad Horse I'd show up to a writing panel for the purpose of heckling it.
If I remember to reserve a hotel room, you're welcome to stop by. If I forget, I'll be sleeping in my van . . . and you're welcome to stop by, I guess, although the van's kind of lacking in amenities. I'll probably make a more useful blog post nearer to the actual event.
In other news, as I hoped, work is beginning to settle into a bit of a routine. We're still not there yet, but we're getting better. I'm improving at my job (I think), and I'm starting to get a handle on what the other guys can and cannot do.
I still can't promise y'all when I'll return to my regular schedule, but I feel like it's getting close. It may be that over the course of the next couple of weeks, my pre-readers are finally going to see a slew of Biscuit fics. They've got one now (not one which you are eagerly awaiting, sadly), and there are three more which are very close.

I was hooked on that game for an exact month in 2013.
Would have, being much longer if it wasn't because I made the mistake of trying to speed up my browser by deleting all browsing data wich includes history and cookies.
I was already in the quadrillions so the prospect of starting again from zero was too off-putting to have me hooked any longer.
And that's the story of how I defeated my addiction to cookie clicker!

Maybe if you had, it would've left you enough time to write out that section you were planning to have for us last Monday! 
Cookie Clicker? You fool! Do you not realize there are much better things for you to be doing? If you must divert effort from your writing, you should at least choose something worthwhile!

I've been running it in the background for 11,000 hours because I feel compelled to get the final achievement (reset with 1 octillion cookies baked). We'll see if the processor can handle it.

Funny thing about this update is I wrote it a week or more ago, but I didn't have a story to put it in (I thought). I'd even gone so far as creating a new story called Not Another Pony in Equestria, when I remembered Liquid Diplomacy.
I tried that, and then I broke it.

I have had so many of those moments. Why, just last week, the board above one of the garage door which held the assist springs and which had been there for 13 years decided to rip out of the wall. Nobody was using that door; nobody was even near it.

Back in 2013 when I was hooked the max achievements was to reset with a quadrillion cookies, a quintillion max.
However I never had any intention to get those reset achievements since I figured the programmer was just going to add even more achievements latter on.
I don't even want to know how many things have been added since 2013, when I quit the last mayor thing added where the dark matter grandmas.

It is, of course, recommended that you not break the game in the first place, but if you do choose to do so, at least do it right. I mean, not even a completed friendship graph? Put some effort into it!
