"Sister, I noticed that Twilight Sparkle has been sending you a much larger volume of friendship letters than what is considered the norm," Luna spoke as she and Celestia peacefully ate breakfast together.
"Quite! Ever since Samus allowed her access to this 'extranet,' her thirst for knowledge is nigh insatiable! I must admit that much of what she tells me is most interesting. The sheer volume of information is incredible!" Celestia replied positively as she took a sip of coffee.
"Oh? Anything in particular that has piqued your interest?" Luna inquired. Celestia nodded.
"Actually yes, she's been doing an extensive study on the subject of 'memes.'"
"Memes?" Luna asked.
"Yes. Memes. When I inquired as to what exactly they were, Twilight was stumped for a truly thorough explanation, though she was able to provide a very vague overview. She vowed to do more research before getting back to..."
Celestia was interrupted when a scroll suddenly appeared and landed in her magical grasp. Looking it over, it was indeed from her student.
"Well, it appears we may get our answer now," the Solar Princess finished as she eagerly unrolled the scroll.
Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that jet fuel can't melt steel beams.
Ayy Lmao,
Twilight Sparkle
This was not my idea at all. Carry on.
Oh my god Twilight you can't just fry beans on jet engines.
Umm...wut?
Maybe old Petroleum based Jet Fuel can't but I'm certain [insert the name of that mineral that was mined on K2-L here] based Fuel Gel can.

That would be Afloraltite, but it's never made clear whether Fuel Gel replaced afloraltite, or if afloraltite is indeed the crystallized form of Fuel Gel.
3167595 I seem to recall a few of the logs in Corruption as well as the manga itself mentioning that the stuff was basically the raw form of Fuel Gel in the same way that petroleum is the raw form of most of our current day fuels.
3167611
Nothing in Corruption's logs mentions that fact, and Afloraltite is simply never brought up. Since Afl is found in crystalline form, I'd lean more towards Fuel Gel being the raw form.
3167619 OK, maybe it was more between the statements of characters in the manga mentioning that Afloraltite was used to fuel ships, and the mention in the Fuel Gel log saying that it was a common target for pirates I inferred that they were related. Though I also may be remembering some of the event type logs mentioning the K2-L attack in relation to Fuel Gel... It's been a while since I played any of those games...
Also, I'm pretty sure that many minerals that are most commonly found in nature as solids are more useful in a processed liquefied/suspension form. For instance: Graphite is far more useable in the form of a suspension in a "liquid pencil" than in the form of a solid core in a hollowed stick. (at least for me, traditional pencils make this annoying sound that bugs the hells out of me...)
3167632
Huh. Liquid pencils. I've honestly never heard of those before. Neat.
And yeah, Fuel Gel is more useful than Afloraltite; it's never stated in the media but I think that can be safely inferred. On Bryyo, you can encounter crystallized Fuel Gel that's a lot less volatile and, consequently, less useful for fuel purposes.
3168373 Only brand I've ever seen of them, at least around where I am, is Sharpie brand. They're even #2 lead equivalent which means I can use them on scantron tests.
Is it bad that I can totally see Twilight doing this? Like, in the actual show?
