Important: Update Schedule · 4:12am Jun 17th, 2015
New chapter for Twilight's Secret Journal and a new koan for The Sound of One Hoof Clopping!
Now let's talk a bit about the State of the Wolf Pony.
I am recovering from my surgery and my 40th birthday. It is difficult, however, partly because I keep screwing around with parts of me that should be left untouched to heal. Until everything does heal, I will still be taking pain medication, which kind of defeats the entire purpose of the surgery in the first place.
It feels kinda like this.
I expect this shall abate by the end of June (including the narcotics withdrawl if I'm awesome enough), and then I can start regaining control over my life for the first time in seven years! Woo hoo!
Now for the update schedule. This part is important.
Things are going to be weird for a while. I'm going to be working on my nonfiction book (not pony related), which mostly will involve me doing a lot of reading. That is not an easy thing for wolves at present. So my story updates may be spotty, and they may be in bunches, or even disappear for a while. I won't be able to warn you, so just hope for updates and they'll happen when they happen.
I will probably be starting a few long stories, too. Once I do, I'll probably update different stories in an arbitrary fashion as my internal whim-o-meter* dictates. But I think most of you will like these stories, so it should be fun.
In any event, expect a strange and bumpy ride over the next few months! Allons-y! (I am told this is Doctor Hooves related)
(* This is pronounced "whim-AHM-uh-tur", obviously; not "WHIM-ohh-mee-tur". Stop that nonsense at once.)
Happy Birthday!
I know it may be hard to tell with the pain medication numbing things, but is it feeling at all like the surgery did what it was supposed to, or will you have to wait until your jaw fully heals to really be able to tell?

It's working. I know because it worked during the trial, and it's preventing the kind of pain it's supposed to prevent.
Happy Birthday! Hope you feel better soon!

Good! That's very good to hear. I'm sure having the contraption around/in your mouth sucks to no end, but hopefully its pain removing magicalness makes it worth it.
