Post-Midwest Bronyfest and Story Updates · 2:05am May 27th, 2015

Wow. What an amazing weekend. So many awesome things happened and I had the chance to meet some amazing people. For starters, I became a nerd and got a Twitter. The username is @Flutterpriest. Follow me. I probably will say stupid things and post stupid pictures. It'll be even more neglected than my sorry, sorry tumblr.

But, NEGLECT is the one thing that you guys will -not- be getting. I'm about 1,500 words deep on part six of Adopting Fluttershy, PLUS! I'm going to be releasing an overhauled re-make of an old greentext story of mine, which was previously called "Sunrise, Sunset." It will be third-person and if I do it right, will not use the name Anon.

Weird, I know.

Either way, enough about stories, let's talk about the Convention.

First of all, it was amazing to meet and become friends with cool people like TheBronyChef, DJ Midli, DJ Tetsuo, and finally meet Bolding and Additive Subtractive in real life. Meeting friends you have from over the internet can generally be considered risky business, but I've only had positive experiences so far. My 'Shanked' counter is 0/2. So let's see if I can keep up the good work.

I was also able to meet Solrac and play some Melee with him. Sadly, I'm not as good at Melee as I am on Smash 4, so I got myself wrecked. Either way, it was cool to meet some new faces.

Louder was absolutely awesome, and was probably only second to the time I was able to spend talking about writing with the writers that I did meet and have the chance to talk to. I was able to go and listen to Qullamore's panel on the introduction to Fanfiction writing. I'd say she did a very good job. She may not have been a big name, but her advice rang true for any writers who were looking to get their feet wet and that's what some people need. After the panel, I had the fortunate circumstance to run into FamousLastWords and say hi. I found out he was having he was having a panel the next day. I was really stoked to see it, but my mistake was being at a different hotel from the convention and we had some check-out mishaps that caused me to miss the panel. That -really- sucked. I was looking forward to it. I also had the chance of meeting a few new friends, one named Zyrian and another named TheVClaw. Both were really, really cool guys and it was fun to spend time with them and talk about writing.

There were all sorts of inside jokes that were had, memories that were made, and friendships were foraged over this weekend. However, if there was one single thing that was worth remembering. One single part of the convention that I will never forget. It will be this:

It was nice meeting you! It's always interesting meeting known writers.

For starters, I became a nerd and got a Twitter.

Is this one of those "literal truth" things in that you didn't specify when that happened? :derpytongue2:
