Yay! Rejoice with me, Wonderfolk. Mantles went up on Equestria Daily.
I don't care what you thought of her debut episode, she has an AWESOME design.
Big thanks to PresentPerfect (wonderful name, I might add) who worked with me to get this story cleaned up and posted. It's 11 chapters long right now, three of those being new, and--as I've mentioned--it's set for completion. I'm dedicated to finishing this thing. I think it'll be pretty great, and I appreciate everyone who is along for the ride. Especially those of you who have been along for the ride since freaking 2012.
Originally the arc of this story was going to be significantly different. Now it's all laid out and I'm really proud of where it's going, but in its early stages as my second fanfic (I started writing it before The Sisters Doo), it was pretty weird and aimless. Even so, it got up to 100 upvotes before getting a single thumbs down. I tried to send it to EqD back then but was repeatedly rejected. That brought my spirits pretty low and I was creatively revived only by the success of The Sisters Doo.
Which we're all really happy about, obviously.
Now Mantles is back, featured on the site that once crushed it, and I am starving. So I'm gonna go get some Panda Express or something. I wish I had some friends to go with me, but... whatever. You guys are my friends now.
And if you don't get Panda Express with me, at least celebrate Mantles in your own way. Like, do a little dance where you're sitting or say "Woohoo!" or high five an imaginary Ponky. Thanks, guys, you're the best.

Guess this is another reminder to finally get to this story. At the rate I'm dropping Read-Laters in impatience for a good fic, it shouldn't take too long.

And added Mantles to the proverbial Read It Later list. I was hesitant to read it before, considering its wacky premise, but now that it's cleaned up, I'll definitely look forward to digging into it.

My advice to anyone who's finally getting into Mantles: Just get past chapter 5. That's the hard one. Not gonna lie, I cried
