New original song based on my love for Lewis Carroll.
Hey, Wonderfolk! Happy Thanksgiving!
I am so, so happy and excited to share this new original song with you. I think it's the only song I've written in its entirety since coming back from Italy in 2015, so I guess I'm kind of working backward. Over the next many months, I will be releasing at least two songs a month on my YouTube Channel "theKyBurton", and most of them will be originals I have written and never recorded. It'll be fun to share all of them with you, but for today, we'll focus on "Alice".
This song is special to me for several reasons. Mostly, I'm just a huge fan of Lewis Carroll, as many of you know, and I'm proud of all the references I was able to weave into the lyrics. Secondly, it's my wife's favorite original song of mine, so I was happy to see her cheerful reaction to its completion. I hope you feel the same way.
As I strive to make more music, I've also started a Patreon page where you, the Wonderfolk, can help me as much as you'd like. I've got some fun little perks available, but mostly you'll just be helping me stick to this goal of at least two songs uploaded every month. I've already received an amazing amount of support from so many of you, so I must say an extra THANK YOU on this most grateful of days to the wonderful, passionate, curious, astounding people who have made the start of this new journey already so delightful.

Happy Thanksgiving, Ky! I can't wait to listen to this song as soon as I'm home from Turkey Day festivities.
Dang, this is really reminding me of something (I think with that arpeggiated piano and the vocal melody). Suuuper nice, though; the simple percussion does quite well to carry the song, and the (bells? glockenspiel?) is a really nice icing on top. And hopefully a hint of what's to come? :3 'Cause if it is, I'm even more excited than I was before. Bring it on.
Ooooh, this is a cool one! This is pretty high for your vocal range, but you manage to make it work well. And I especially like the jumpy sort of beat that this one's got, it makes it feel peppy and carefree. I love it!
